I have RCD-N7 and a lot of the capacitors are breaking down.... I ordered replacement for ALL of them, spent the weekend replacing them all... Guess what, my RCD-N7 will shut down after about 30-120 minutes after turning on. I'm suspecting that the SMPS board is bad, likely the chip controlling 5V for the logic. Because it just turn off, no warning, no graceful shutdown.
@@PONY_SADO I got the unit when it is not working very well, and i found a lot of the capacitor are leaking or bloated, that's why i decided to replace all of the capacitors. All other problems seems to be gone, the machine is stable, but when i tried to use it, it will shut down in about 30 to 120 minutes. i checked the service manual on HifiEngine web site, andi found that there are 3 switching power supply chips in the power supply board. Because there's no warning about over or under voltage, i think the power amp power is good. And since the system shut down with no warning, I'm suspecting the 5V power for the control and processor may be the problem. I HOPE this will fix the problem, since I've already spent too much money and time on this machine now, haha.
@@PONY_SADO Mostly depend on quality, i have a lot of good experience with Japanese capacitor that work fine for a long long time, and American capacitors. But capacitors from other makers a can be unreliable.
@@maniacaudiophile I sometimes unplug the mains plug. My goal is to avoid a power failure. The switching power supply is on sale on the internet for more than 100 Euros.

Thanks for watching my video!!!
Hi sir, my Denon receiver always randomly changes from CD to Network.. what is the issue
Maybe selector SW trouble. Toggle the switch many times to refresh the contacts.
I also have RCD-N7. The POWER indicator flashes red at 0.25 seconds intervals.
Is it the IC broken?
Thanks for omment. See the following Japanese page. IC is broken. k1ro.o.oo7.jp/radio/mcr.htm

Thanks. Why capacitors are breaking ? Whats happen ? RCD-N7 now works well ?

@@maniacaudiophile Capacitors don't work well at low temperature (under 5 deg.). I don't think capacitors break very much
