@@drummingdanny84 my parents didn’t discover Weather Channel until 1993 when we went on vacation to Panama City Beach, Florida. It was on one of the many channels in our hotel room. My parents couldn’t afford cable when I was a toddler. We only had a big satellite dish, but it only offered very few channels, and The Weather Channel wasn’t on there.
Thanks for uploading. Such an infamous day weather-wise, first day after Tornado Emergency was first brought into existence. So much nostalgia while watching this...I remember many of these commercials!
I was a junior at Jackson State and was in class and with friends when the Chickasha-Moore-OKC tornado struck. I didn't know about it until I got back to my dorm room that night and turned on CNN. I was glued in all night. Luckily, I didn't have class until the next afternoon.
I remember as a kid just stuck to the Weather Channel because I was always so scared of thunderstorms lol this just takes me all the way back, how I miss these old days, but I am glad I got to experience something as simple as the Weathe Channel in the 90s.. I feel like I'm sitting in that living room once again at my mom's house sheesh
I'm surprised you weren't more specific. "On Monday, expect Fair skies, on Tuesday, we'll see a chance of thunderstorms, and on Wednesday, look for rainy conditions".
I miss the 90s Weather Channel. So much simplistic back then.
I miss the '80s Weather Channel more.

Weather channel should have stayed like this, instead of tv shows and stuff that could be on discovery instead
Exactly! I can't see how they're getting ratings unless they have new followers...they completely lost us.
When TWC actually did weather.
Thank You for sharing this wonderful coverage. I remember the May 3, 1999 outbreak like it was yesterday! I watched the Weather Channel that night!

There was footage of the Bridge Creek-Moore F5.
Hey publisher73, do you have The Weather Channel from November 1995, including the Zar Wood Stain commercial?
Does anyone know the name of the song and artist at 10:34?
I’d say it’s likely Trammell Starks
It's actually Crusin with Susan by Phil Klein.
