Thanks for pointing that out, I asked oneride about it and they confirmed that this unit was not the new batch, but every 16S that ships out will be from the new batch (upgraded pedals and pads)
Kingsong 16S was my very first wheel, my only real complaint about that wheel are the stupid battery humps on each side. But overall its a great wheel and it introduced a lot of Onewheel riders to the dark side lol
They are efficient vehicles and really not old, even more practical than performance oriented ones for everyday commute on short distances (around 40km round trip) the size factor is very important on that use if you live in a crowded city.
That was my first wheel! Now i ride a v12ht, and it fits my needs except i really really want suspension, would a s19 fit the bill? Or should i go extreme or v14? I have to lift my wheel into my trunk basically every time i ride and it has become a bummer even with the v12 haha its worth it because i have way more fun on the v12 than the 16s.
@@ZenLee to the worst of us too, haha, proof: I am myself on the other side of the bell curve (i.e. closer to Marty by age, than to you). In spite of it, I appreciate your videos and I still love your channel. My only regret is that I own no Kingsong wheel yet, but if I buy a 5th wheel my wife will skin me off and I would have to sleep outside. Few years ago when the microbe hooked me I was thinking for a while to get a 16X as my first wheel, but after about 3 months of "web research" I ended up getting an RS19HS. Later I had the opportunity to ride the 16X for few km and I didn't like the pedal deep when cornering, so I stayed with Begode, with the exception of a V8F which I bought later, to teach the wife. Currently riding a Master Pro. About the "classic" Kingsongs, I really like their diagonal handle, I believe that is the best it could get. Kudos.
That's not the new batch. Wrong Way just did a review of the new batch and it has the new grippy pedals and improved sidepads.

Cool to see ‘old wheels’ still getting some love, especially from Manufacturers.

This was my first wheel, reliable last minute commuter & handles learners knocks and drops NP
16s is just an amazing wheel i ride s18 offroad and this one is my coffee run wheel
It is a great little wheel. The original use case for the EUC is last mile and easy commuting. Could realistically wheel this into the office.
kingSong 😍🤩
I want a gold version.

I'd look at the S16 pro and S19 for the lighter but less powerful options(compared to extreme & V14) personally I'd take Patton over Extreme and V14
@@ZenLee thank you for your opinion! Appreciate it.
Don’t mention the S 20!😂
I'll sell you the REAL og wheel, my Ninebot E+, great for travel and still one of the only wheels you can take on a plane fully assembled
Buddy, you are getting old, riding 16S and talking about S16, and in the former video riding S16 and calling it S19... 🤪
its true, happens to the best of us it seems
