@@-aku2805 i remember a ford bronco mod that would get completely pancaked when it got hit by a truck. It got popular on tiktok and idiots thought it was an IRL crash
The difference is that in beamng in every crash you had the evo in totally new conditions as for the clay model it was already damaged from the previous crash, so it was weaker than the beamng one. Also, great video man the evo looked awesome, hope your channel continues to grow:) (im sorry if some parts are hard to understand, english is not my native languaje)
Well, for starters, the impact speeds of your crashes are very different. Secondly, the material of your clay model deforms 100% uniformly, while BeamNG actually simulates different materials and the car models also have a very complex anatomy. Had your clay model had a massive metal chunk of an engine in the front, the crash damage would have appeared very differently. I'd argue that BeamNG gives the much more realistic crash deformations. BUT: the car you're using is obviously a mod in the game, and as such, can't claim to be recreated super realistically, either. Finally, building on the previous point, it is absolutely possible to set up the mesh simulation in BeamNG in a way so that the wheels on the car can deform, too. But again, real rims aren't made from clay and won't just squish, either. TL/DR: there is absolutely nothing scientifically valid about your testing and comparison method. Other than: it's a red Mitsubishi (we'll generously ignore the different body kit). Still: for spending so many hours on handcrafting the car model (which indeed looks superb, great craftsmanship!) and then destroying it for making this video, you absolutely deserve a like, good Sir! 👍
did you take in factors like metal densities, plastic densities, where and what ALL the parts are located and made of? And the biggest factor is the speed variations? real MPH vs scale MPH (or KPH... meh.)? Just saying there are literally thousands of variables to take into account. other than that, your skill at making that model car from scratch.... AMAZING!
Each vehicle in Beam-NG has different J-beams. A J-beam is basically like a hitbox in very simplified terms. The vehicles made by Beam-NG have the most accurate J-beams also, Beam-NG hasn't added scratch marks and dirtiness to cars yet, but they are planning to add them to a future update. And if we are being real, not all cars are made out of clay. But your videos are great and creative, and I don't really get why people are getting so mad for something that was probably made for fun and not to be taken seriously.
yea this film is pretty shit, and he talking about damage from the side when in beamg 1st. its car from mod, 2 new spawned car vs totally destroyed shit from totally different material, damn this man have no clue what he talking about xD
Can't wait for beam to simulate crushing rims and wheels in between fenders. some vehicles have colliders where tires can catch on fenders like T-series and pre runner d-series trucks but not every vehicle has it
beamng drive also simulates the panel materials. such as steel, plastic, etc... your clay model car is weaker in comparison to those materials. that is also why in beamng the wheels didnt break like the model.
I would say, if you were to do this again, try to match the reverse speed of the Plasticine car with the speed of the one in BeamNG, I bet the damage would be similar then. If we were to take the plasticine version and apply that same reverse speed scaled up to the IRL counterpart or the BeamNG counterpart the reverse speed would have been like 80mph to 100mph in reverse which I don't think there are cars that can do that without any modifications.
The reason the tures arnt bent us because it didnt hit with enough force. Also this video doesnt even have s good camprison because your using A toy car. Toy cars get damaged easily. ( Running your toy car is a eall or dropping it won't do anything) But of course the force you did was like 100 miles an hour in toy version scale....so like. Edit some cars can fet cut in half. Also its beam....its still in beta after 13 years. Give the game time ong. Thank you.
Your car was not changed out I’m the last test that’s why it snapped plus it’s not even close to being able to be realistically compared since you use clay, against wood and other speeds then in beamng, and since it’s not different materials in the different parts like wheels you can’t say it’s not realistic when the beamNG wheels don’t bend the same way buddy.
I think the difference is in speed, in beamng drive the speed of the crash was very slow in comparison to the real life model
Maybe it looks like that becouse of the scale?
@@naglislaurinaitis7301 idk maybe
@@rafael20074no because beamng drive is a SOFTBODY car game so the car is softer but the model is harder so he hits it harder
The model is lighter then the beamng car idiots
@@suicidal_346with softbody they meant that the car can deform, not that it's particularly soft, they can change the stiffness values
Damage models are different for every modded car on BeamNG it's better to use lore friendly or built in cars for tests like this.
The Damage Physics change depending on the model car your using on beamng
It also depends on the quality of mod
@@Kronflax yeah a lot of these real life cars have very unrealistic crash models

while not 100% accurate, this was so cool and I'd love to see you crash more car models in the future
Very cool video and how similar the crashes was. Maybe one day we dont need as much expensive real crash test when we have the engine for the PC.
This is a underrated video

Replying so he pins this. Video is misleading but the craftsmanship is amazing on the mitsu.
now i really want to make a car like that great vid. A few tips would to be to maybe even up the sped a bit but either way nice vidio
That’s cool
You make a car into a clay and then a crash is realistic
i will definitely support you, you make very cool cars
You could probably make really good Beamng mods
Two very different fields. Would not unless they put in the work like anyone else who wants to make them.

bro threw thew model car at 200 mph and the beamng one was driving at like 30 or 40, not a fair comparison at all dude.

man, your video is interesting but I stopped watching because of the AI voice over

The biggest flaw in Bean is that things don't separate.
You should’ve put a Lego mini figure inside the model car
mix a little zinc powder with the clay, then your damage look's like steel
wasting money on toys ❌ saving money ✔
The raw materials probably costed him more than a Diecast replica so not really

Can you crash a car with fixable damage and then make a rebuild vidoe for it?
how do I start making models like those? Where should I start?
U cant compare a toy car with a simulation that is simulating a life size car. Mass, force is all different

That car model isn’t made by beamng devs
It’s made by a person who published it in the internet

can you make the tesla or waymo?
Can you do the 58 Plymouth😢 please I'm begging you
problem is the car is a mod and might not be as accurate
