The difference is that in beamng in every crash you had the evo in totally new conditions as for the clay model it was already damaged from the previous crash, so it was weaker than the beamng one. While the clay model is mainly composed of clay, which is a lot more malleable than metal making it a lot more easier to bend and deform. Which I think is acceptable for the scale of which this is at compared to a model comprised of mainly metal. There are other factors to that play a major role in the differences but I don't think people wanna read a entire full on break down in the comment section lol. But this video was really nice and I applaud you for your hard work and your willingness to destroy something you worked so hard on lol.

Each vehicle in Beam-NG has different J-beams. A J-beam is basically like a hitbox in very simplified terms. The vehicles made by Beam-NG have the most accurate J-beams also, Beam-NG hasn't added scratch marks and dirtiness to cars yet, but they are planning to add them to a future update. And if we are being real, not all cars are made out of clay. But your videos are great and creative, and I don't really get why people are getting so mad for something that was probably made for fun and not to be taken seriously.

And the biggest factor is the speed variations? real MPH vs scale MPH (or KPH... meh.)? I would say, if you were to do this again, try to match the reverse speed of the Plasticine car with the speed of the one in BeamNG, I bet the damage would be similar then. If we were to take the plasticine version and apply that same reverse speed scaled up to the IRL counterpart or the BeamNG counterpart the reverse speed would have been like 80mph to 100mph in reverse which I don't think there are cars that can do that without any modifications.
beamng drive also simulates the panel materials. such as steel, plastic, etc... your clay model car is weaker in comparison to those materials. that is also why in beamng the wheels didnt break like the model.
No, they don't. Beamng does not 'simulate' different chassis materials. The only difference that these have on deformation is what sound they make when they scrape.
I don't think it's accurate to compare Clay to the materials actually used to build the different parts of the car. This is fun to watch but it isn't accurate at all. No to talk about the mods of beamng. Modders use models to built diferent types of cars which is will break similarly which wouldn't happen in real life is that specific car.
Your car was not changed out I’m the last test that’s why it snapped plus it’s not even close to being able to be realistically compared since you use clay, against wood and other speeds then in beamng, and since it’s not different materials in the different parts like wheels you can’t say it’s not realistic when the beamNG wheels don’t bend the same way buddy.
The reason the tures arnt bent us because it didnt hit with enough force. Also this video doesnt even have s good camprison because your using A toy car. Toy cars get damaged easily. ( Running your toy car is a eall or dropping it won't do anything) But of course the force you did was like 100 miles an hour in toy version scale....so like. Edit some cars can fet cut in half. Also its beam....its still in beta after 13 years. Give the game time ong. Thank you.
I think the difference is in speed, in beamng drive the speed of the crash was very slow in comparison to the real life model

Damage models are different for every modded car on BeamNG it's better to use lore friendly or built in cars for tests like this.
