The Patriots will live to regret it, if they pass on Drake Maye. He will be a top ten QB within 3 years and progress from there for the next 15 years. Please Patriots, pick Maye at #3 if Washington takes the cheese on Daniels.
I love the people out here that look at the stats on the top 3 QB and don't think Maye is all that. He carried his team ! He didn't have the protection or the weapons of the other two QB. He played half the games they did and still had the most passing yards except for Penix. He younger than the other two QB bigger stronger and pretty athletic. The kid stayed loyal to his college he could have gone to another school but chose to stay and carry that team on his back. He's going to be the best QB in this draft. I fully expect Jayden Daniels to get folded in the NFL. I also think Williams is nothing more than Russell Wilson and that's pretty good but he's no Rodgers or Brady. Just wait this kids going to be the best QB in the draft.
@@jakoblarson4597So, you are not familiar with the concept of "improvement"? You think their current situation is etched in stone for the rest of time? Patriots are in the early stages of a 2-3 year rebuild. That's what the draft, free agency, and coaching are for - get better over time.
@@milanmilanov348 yeah but by the time they improve it will be too late, thats not how you develop a young qb, you don't grab the pieces along the way you get the pieces then bring a young qb in like Stroud, caleb williams and jj mccarthy. Look at how Bryce Young is doing panthers drafted him with nothing to work with and pats following in their footsteps
It’s impossible to tell qb as an outsider. It’s hard for insiders. The little bit I’ve seen from the guy, he looks like the best nfl prospect in this draft at qb. Of course I see why Williams will likely go first.
@@TT337___ size. Release. Quickness, ability to turn the corner and even run down field. Above average arm, makes nfl throws. Pretty good anticipation. The only thing I saw was an occasional errant pass that I didn’t like. Which the whole draft class has. I thought Howell was the most accurate passer in college for the last handful Of years or so. Plus the rest of what this video says about Maye. I like football families and know it’s a real thing growing up playing hall ball in the hall, we called it break on through(dad was a doors fan) and full contact basketball which was just football. And who was Maye throwing to this last year. Worse receivers by far than Williams even
@@codyhughes4472 I do agree he didn’t have the receivers the other top qbs have, and I don’t knock him for that. Definitely sounds like a great guy who has his priorities right, it’s just the erratic throws even when not under pressure seemed alarming. Honestly I got Williams, Daniels, and with Penix looking healthy just seem like sure bets. Like Shannon Sharpe said let’s not overthink this stuff. Just seems like a 2/3 rd round pick from what I’ve seen, but I do get drafting off projection.

9-5 and 8-5. Starts 9-1 goes 0-4 down the stretch. Starts 6-0 goes 2-5 down the stretch. Never beat his instate rival. That to me doesn't scream special. It screams average.
Why do these people keep talking this guy up? I mean he's basically a slightly better version of Sam Howell. And Pro Football Focus has him as the No 2 prospect in front of the Heisman winner?
As a pats fan sure am glad we got him
the most underrated part of what the patriots are doing is jerod mayo. jerod is a real man, likeable and driven. mess with him at your peril.

And the thing is that they actually got offensive picks to help him out 7 of 8 picks were offensive

Drake Maye should be the guy at 2. He has always been the second best qb in the draft behind Caleb Williams!!!
Overhyped what comp did he play at NC?
@@jakoblarson4597Probably way better comp than Josh Allen played at Wyoming.
@@milanmilanov348 what does he have to work with in New England? Pats have no oline and no weapons god luck Maye

Welcome to New England. Now I hope you don’t turn into Mac jones
No worries - Belichick is no longer around and I doubt the new coaching staff would purposefully sabotage the development of their franchise QB.
No he's not Mac Jones
Exactly bill got fired cause he was sabotage the team and Mac Jones

But how Cody? He struggled in the ACC. What do you see on film?
Better than Jayden Daniels!?

I didn’t spend much time scouting this year. Just pretty much from the ball saw live and some brief film study

Caleb Williams won 18 games in two years, and also UNC’s defense was ranked last in the ACC and 110+ nationally both years
And Mac jones went undefeated. It’s a team sport.
