Amazing! When I bought this lens i thought the long focal makes it impossible for street photography, and now that i see your video makes me happy of having it, its about the composition. Im going out to streets man, thank you so much!! Really inspirational.
Hi Eduardo! Thank you so much for watching and sharing these kind words. I’m so glad you found the video helpful to making photos with the Viltrox 75mm. Cheers!
Love it, Michael. I think the format and a bit longer is fine! And no questions about the 75 - just not something I'm really interested in - I used it once and it just didn't jive with me! BUT I'm super happy it exists for Fuji users!
Jerred! Many thanks for sharing your comment. My current thought on this lens is I don't "need" it, but I am SO glad I have it. I like the images, especially at 1.2 and the personality of the photos. It is GREAT to now have so many choices for X-Series lenses. Have a great weekend!
Very nice images Michael, as you know I also have the XF16-80 so I have that focal length covered, I understand about the f/1.2 vs the f/4, but I’m always between f/5.6 and f/11 (I want everything in focus😂). Be well and stay safe.
Enrique! I know, I have focal length covered also with the 16-80, AND with the 70-300. I don't "need" this lens, but REALLY like it. More later ;) My son gave me his cold, so back to bed...
On the fence between the viltrox 75 and fuji 90. If the viltrox af is good enough I would rather have a 1.2 aperture. In your upcoming review it would be great if you could test afc and afs in different light, apertures and movement scenerios.
Hi! Thanks for your thoughts. I agree - it's a tough choice between the Viltrox 75mm and Fujinon 90mm. In my limited use of each, I like them both, and you really can't go wrong with either. The price of the Viltrox is pretty amazing considering it's image quality, but I know you can get used 90mm for about $700USD, so gets price to be less of a factor. Thanks for your suggestions around aspects to compare for the video. Much appreciated!
Would this lens be to long for shooting photos at Events or Gyms in your opinion? I currently have a 16-50 2.8 for shorter ranges and would love a more wide open for lower light!
I prefer closer at events, so I don’t this would be too long. Another option is their 56mm f1.4, which would be similar to long end of what you have, but 2 stops more light. Hope that helps!
I haven’t been to Bellevue in sometime, as I usually shoot street in Seattle. I guess I’m going to have to take a trip over there, but the layout of the city is quite wide, and I never felt like there was enough areas where I could photograph people?
Hi Simon! Thanks for sharing this… A suggested place to start for people is the transit center. It’s a bit of a construction mess, but there’s both construction workers and civilians around usually. Love to see your photos if you share a link. Cheers!
Hi Daryl! Thanks for watching and sharing these questions. I have already done some golden hour/after sunset photos (at The Fair) with the 75mm, and also plan to address the weight issue in my more detailed video. Stay tuned!
Hi Neal! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. So far, I'm really liking the Viltrox 75mm. Image quality and "personality" look great to me. Stay tuned for more in a month or so!
Hello! Many thanks for watching and sharing your kind words. For my edits, the photos are Fuji RAW, then in Lightroom Classic, I apply the Classic Chrome film simulation and add my edits on top of that. Cheers!

Beautiful photography. Is it Seattle? I saw a truck. I built their website.
Many thanks for your kind words and for watching the video. The city is Bellevue, Washington, which is about 15 miles east of Seattle.

Come to Moscow or St. Petersburg, there are many beautiful and wide places and passers-by girls will color the photos very much.
Did your hands get tired from the weight of the lens?
Are there any plans for golden hour through after sundown for the lens?

Great images, Dr. Pepper guy was my favorite. Seems like a really nice lens overall.

Just ordered it, because I wanted more distance from my human subjects.
Hi Katie! Yay!!! Hope you have lots of fun with the lens. Cheers!
