You are right, this video is an abstract of the PL+S show. We agree it does not show the best of XTYLOS. XTYLOS is a moving-head. The mirror on the floor is just a motorized moving mirror, independent from XTYLOS. It was introduced in the demo in order to show how bright and parallel the beams remain after a long distance, even if reflected. The stand wasn’t large enough! In the live show it was helpful; in the video maybe not so much.
@@ClaypakyOfficial yeah at the prolight and sound it looked awesome. not so in the Video. The XTYLOS is a very nice fixture. I would love to see this live again :)
We originally used a fixed camera, you can see the same demo filmed from a fixed, frontal point of view here: ruclips.net/video/mBc4IMsA4lM/видео.html . This movie is an exctract from that demo, where we added different shooting points, captions and a final summary with all the technical features
The mirrors are there to reflect the light coming from the lights up top to give you a impression what it looks like if you have more Xtylos fixture looking at one point.
@@clance13 yeah... but they look like pan/tilt mirror fixtures. Who makes these? I know Vari-Lite had some back in the day but haven't seen any current options on the market that weren't custom made.
so missleading, I spent the first 2 minutes of the video thinking that the mirror thing itself was projecting the beams
Where can I buy these DMX mirrors?
We will probably have it as an accessory, totally independent from the XTYLOS moving head.
this is a very misleading demo. so much focus on the mirror fixture.

Excellent
Why is the reflected beam brighter than the beam coming straight out of the fixture
Hi Max, it's a matter of haze reflection. Christian Jackson explained it in this video: ruclips.net/video/RBCyhsOdZeY/видео.html
Wonderfull😍
Next time, use a fixed camera please.

What are the mirrors?
Same! I've been wanting a pan/tilt mirror head for a while now.

Searching “dmx mirror” brings up a lot of results.
So it's a fat mirror laser nice
Nope. The mirror was just an fixture for the effect. The Xtylos were the fixtures hanging in the rig above.
😍😍😍😘😘
