@@deedeeblooms7896 yes, I think you’re right. I have not seen any active infestation in a while but that’s always the case as we’re moving into winter.
A very well thought of display, the lights look just about right. I hope you rewarded well the spider that helped with the threads 😅 Just joking, great job. One question though. You said you do warm up the space unless it is too cold and so, what is the lowest temperature you let them get? Thank you for all the information and a happy weekend to you ❤❤❤
Haha! Thanks a lot! What do you mean with the threads? I live in a rental apartment so temperatures can go only as low as ca. 15 °C during the day and maybe 10 °C at night if it's extremely cold outside. I do not let the room go that low though. 15 °C night temperature is the lowest I'm comfortable with - especially considering that I share the flat with the plants and I don't want to freeze to death haha
@MattbyNature Thanks, that is about same lower temps in my house. Let's hope for a good winter at everyone's content 🤣 The threads I was referring to are the wires linking the lights to power, crossing back and forth below the ceiling. I was just pulling your leg, you did a good job 🫡🥰
Thanks a lot! I‘m located in Switzerland and the only systemic I know of is Careo, which has azadirachtin as its active ingredient. That’s the one I’m using. In the EU, I used to be able to get Lizetan with flupyradifuron or azetamiprid (both of those are banned in Switzerland I think).
Nice update! Can you still get systemic insecticide in Switzerland? I think it's banned in the EU. Hope it works for you. Probably a good idea to discard plants that cannot be cured, they act as a vector of infestation. Nice that all those plants leave you some space to live with them😂
Right? I'm so glad they're so gracious with me haha. I'm using Careo, which has azadirachtin as its active ingredient. In the EU, you should also be able to get Lizetan with flupyradifuron or azetamiprid (both of those are banned in Switzerland I think).
I hope you're successful with your treatments. Those buggers are annoying! Thanks for sharing your collection!
Thanks a lot. Indeed, scale is kind of my worst enemy haha
I don’t think you have a choice but to treat systemically. Keep fighting!

Let's see! Last year we had a few very cold nights but nothing that actually made a big difference for pest control.
Nice Collection ! Mind if I ask what systemic insecticide you are using?
Thanks a lot!

all those ropes and wires, I'd be decapitated or strangled because I'm not very graceful.
Hahaha! My partner is terrified to enter that room. You can be sure _something_ will drop to the floor when he’s around.
@@MattbyNature tell him I understand completely. I wouldn't go in there either.
@@michaelmccarthy4077 hahaha. But now that the Cattleya maxima opened its bud it smells really nice in the plant room
