I’m a stay at home mom to 3, homeschooling, and have felt that the Lord has been setting my consumerism habits on my heart for awhile now and your videos have helped so much, thank you. I thrift all my clothing (except underwear & shoes). I keep a very small wardrobe (40 clothing pieces). I work in a professional office and have 19 professional items, which include: 4 slacks, a skirt, 6 blouses, 3 blazers, 2 cardigans, a camisole & 2 dresses. I have been wearing most of these pieces since fall of 2017. I have thrifted replacement pieces as needed. No one has noticed that I wear the same things every week😁 I also have 11 casual pieces, 6 workout pieces & 4 lounge pieces. That's everything I own for all 4 seasons (I live in Canada). Edited to add: I am also doing a no-buy 2021👍
I worry about condensing my wardrobe down too much or wearing “a capsule wardrobe” at work for a period of time. I worry about people gossiping about me wearing the same items over and over.

I am not yet ready to do a 30-day/same thing dress but you have given me inspiration to wear the same things on repeat more often than I have been doing. TFS!
It's very interesting to see how you live simply. I love simple living but wearing one dress for that long may be very hard for me.. Contentment is really good.
So sweet! Always enjoy these. I'm in the midwest. Winter wear I enjoy Jean's, white tshirt and a sweater/cardigan with slip on's. Summer I enjoy dresses.

I could totally rock wearing the same dress/outfit, because I have my favorites and that’s all I wear. Even growing up I would wear the same tshirt dress or romper until it had holes under the arms from so much wear. I get all of my clothes from thrift stores.
As soon as I saw the dress I thought it looked like Jennifer Scott's dress! I have been wearing just dresses since March when the pandemic arrived. I also buy mostly fit and flare dresses. For one I bought a second of the exact same dress when it went on clearance online.
Love this! I've decided to only replace items that are needed for the foreseeable future. I have an office wardrobe that i no longer really need at my new job as most people wear jeans etc. I've decided I like being more dressed up , and it makes me more productive, so I am wearing my dressy clothes anyway!

Well I love the dress. I’ve seen it in Jennifer’s wardrobe and although I don’t think it would look as awesome on me, I would buy it if I could find it online 😆.... and 30 wears is all that should be expected from a garment? My professional seamstress grandmother would click her tongue if she was still here! 😄
I also like the fit and flare style of dress, but more for warmer weather. When I'm in the US, I need long pants when it gets cold, and I love my jeans. Now I'm in West Africa, so I have to wear long skirts or dresses. Mostly, I wear long skirts out of African wax print fabric with a T-shirt or other knit shirt. On Sundays, I dress in West African style outfits for church. I can go about a week without doing laundry, but definitely not 2 weeks. Another benefit of wearing the same thing is that it cuts down on decisions you have to make and frees up that brain space for other things. :)
Love this! I can't do the 2-week thing as easily here because we have 4 seasons but I do have a definite style I like so just buying those few items and getting rid of the rest is a great idea.
I FINALLY found this dress. It’s the blue one and not red. And I definitely didn’t get the discount you got. I cannot wait to wear it for a full 30 days. 🙌🏼
I have never done the two week thing. I love my super comfy purple, casual top. I recently bought more tops that are similar. I do like jeans, but they have to be a little loose. I’d like to wear more dresses in the summer time. 😊
Thanks for the great video! I grew up wearing only dresses, and I still won't wear pants, out of respect for my community/family. I prefer skirts over dresses, but it's a practical reason for me: I sweat a lot 🤦♀️😞. It's nice for me to be able to switch out a top throughout the day if I've been sweating. I've never tried the two-week clothing thing, but I'd like to try it! I love having a variety of clothing, but my winter go-to is a black maxi skirt. I also started keeping track of my closet and price per wear on an app. At the end of each season I'm cutting out the items worn the least!
My 'uniform' is a skirt, leggings and jumper in autumn and winter. I like wearing dresses in Summer and spring. I would like to try the 2 week experiment 😊

I had 2 pair of jeans and I ripped the older pair (well worn, I laughed at the 30 wears. I've probably worn these 300 times!). The other pair are in perfect condition. I decided not to replace the ones that ripped. I'm a t-shirt and jeans girl so that's what I wear every day. Social experiment ;) I know nobody will notice at this point because we're locked up but maybe someday someone will notice if I ever see someone. I rarely wash my jeans, if worn every day I would maybe wash once a week or maybe every 2 weeks.
I should say, this is a winter only thing. I'm sweaty so in the humid summer I have to cycle through more clothes and wash daily. But I wouldn't be wearing jeans in the heat of summer. I also wash shirts more often than jeans.
You mentioned ethical makeup. Would you mind elaborating on that? I know it’s besides the point of the video but, I would love to find a brand that is ethically made and also worth the spend. Thanks. Great videos. They do inspire me.🙂
For Christmas I received the tinted moisturizer and mascara from Lemongrass Spa, and I have been impressed! It isn't AS amazing as my previous old standbys but for being being ethical and clean, I am really happy with them. I don't wear a ton of makeup, so I may not be the best person to talk about it though!! ;)

I only wear skirts and dresses and hated wearing all pants, jeans, shorts so I gave them all to charity and I am much happier
