Actually sakura is bad as a singer.. 48 family do not raise singer, they are raising ordinary girls into idol. This has been a public secret for all 48 fans. Only some of them who able to sing. Maybe only MNL48 who most of the member are real singers. What you see right now is pure charm. In HKT48, She trained a lot to express her emotion, how to do fan services, how to catch the camera angle, how to attract attention. This is common for 48 family because they have too many people in one group. So you have to be shining so fan will notice you. If you deep dive to 48 family you will understand what I said. Not hating Sakura or 48 family though.

In the Nekkoya evaluation, ALL the videos were evaluated by the TEACHERS, so even though you said Jurina was killing it, THE TEACHERS EVALUATED her performance and the result is B). Sakura got the center for Nekkoya because her FELLOW TRAINEES VOTED for her( The Rank A trainees competed for the center FAIR AND SUARE).

Popularity and visuals. Kind of like Tzuyu with Twice during Sixteen. The potential from them are obvious and couple that with all the other factors makes it a no brainer to debut them from a business standpoint. Seeing how far both of them has come makes me glad they were in the final lineup.

Izone itself comprises of fortunate girls. The position which I think actually debuted because of some talent were: Hyewon/minju visual over talent are key elements of such shows. Chaeyeon excellent dancer Yuri strong vocalist(her voice was the deepest) Eunbi leadership skills Nako- even if 1-2 japanese girls debut atleast they had to be fluent in Korean more than the rest of Japanese candidates. Starship girls were given chunks of screen time so the rest are extremely fortunate to have debuted even after voting scandals.

Right? People voted for her because she's very pretty and they like to believe that she will improve once she debuts (regardless of the fact that she's already debuted in AKB48). Whether she improves or not, why did the people not give one of the top 12 positions to someone who already performs well and has proven to be debut-material? This makes me really angry but we just have to accept the fact that kpop now has become a place mostly for pretty people, some with talent and some completely without.

Ultimately, what I'm trying to say is that her singing voice isn't good enough even after PD48 and there are lots of trainees with better voices and also good visuals. She's just pretty and many people like her visuals and that's how she got in. If she's so good in singing, please ask IZ*ONE's company to give her more lines instead of just lip syncing. Thanks.
It's just sad that even her so-called fans don't know her enough to realize that her voice can only handle so much and they don't know the capacity that her voice can handle. She CAN sing but can she sing WELL is the question. You can hear her voice during their ranking in episode 1. Was it good? Was it good enough for you? If it is, then I have nothing else to say but hope that she releases an album to which you can fully indulge in hearing her singing voice. If it's not good enough, then you'll realize that without her visuals, she's nothing.
@@elizadarcy12 She's not even that bad, I think you're overreacting and reaching. I've seen way worse people pass for good. She's definitely not main vocal, but she's a decent sub vocal. Her voice just seems more suited for Japanese pop. Tzuyu from Twice isn't that good either, but if she can be in a group then why can't Sakura? I think Tzuyu is worse tbh and I like Tzuyu. You shouldn't be so rude to Sakura with your words saying she'd be nothing, just shows how bitter you are about her getting in.
