Stage presence is where Sakura shines, frankly speaking, when it came to dance and singing skills Sakura was always a bit behind her peers (but her dancing has come SO SO far since joining I*Zone because she was actually pushed to reach her potential). But the reason Sakura became as popular as she was in 48g was her stage presence. I won't deny that she was pushed and hard, but so were a lot of other girls. If Sakura wasn't able to captivate, she would have been another flop. All that said, I'm glad she's flourishing in Korea and being able to show her true skills as a performer.

Sakura was top tier for akb style and overall japnese media, the way they do stage is very different from korean one. They don't focus on camera at all. Her innocent and cute style was very effective. However Where she had it all in japan , she lacked it all in korean. Her only skill usefull were her stage presence and ability to connect to the public all the rest had to be build. Really amazing to see over the years what a chad !

True. Well, JPop idol system usually put more emphasis on growing along with fans and fan service skills more than technical skills. Sakura would definitely be more talented than now if she had trained like the Japanese trainees from the company XGALX like Hikaru from Kep1er. Sakura is very hard working, has charisma and has the mindset to keep improving so she will stay longer in this industry. We may even see her one day owning a talent agency.

It seemed to have gotten worse in Iz*one when the producers gave her minimal lines. Even though she seems confident on stage all the time, she is thriving under Le Sserafim's concept and their teamwork. During the documentary when she mentioned she wanted less lines because people hated her singing voice, you could see she does a good job hiding her vulnerability on stage and seems to suffer silently behind the scenes. It's really obvious how hard it was to her to be on par with those korean trainees, the requirements for AKB48 and for K-pop idol are drastically different.
i think it just took sakura just some time to get comfortable with the Korean language and performance styles. she has always been good at singing, and good at facial expressions; but I think since she didn't know Korean at first at all, and produce 48 also favoring Korean trainees more and the Japanese trainees had to work twice as hard to debut, it took her time to completely understand the concepts, the culture and the language; because in later izone songs like secret story of the swan and panorama, her stage presence is incredible. and then obviously, she thrives in stage presence and experience in le ssarafim
