This is kinda combining 90s Italia pop with some Little Big playfulness and Andy Warhol visuals. It’s catchy, but… this is not the strongest song in Eesti Laul by a long shot. Art doesn’t always work at Eurovision - we’ve seen it go both ways.
Very confident that the visual package will either make or break this. If the visuals are subpar, or just simply not good enough. I could see Ant, Minimal Wind or Zevakin take it. Certainly feels like the most open Eesti Laul in a good while, which is exciting.
As a Latvian, this is my fav entry from Estonia! In case he goes to ESC, I believe we might not stand out that much (if we send Ramtai or Ligo), though. From one side I want him to win Eesti Laul as I sincerely enjoy this entry, from other side it might harm our chances in the ESC due to similar concepts (more fun, unconventional, etc.)
don't worry Latvia with Ramti or Ligo would go well anyway, it all depends on live performances and you have a surprising number of good songs that would Qualify pretty easily
The melody sticks in your head.. Even if you don't like it,, you may still catch yourself humming the song without even realizing it.. That's always a very good sign.
When William said it gives Little Big vibes thats literally what I have been saying since the song came out! Other people compared him to Joost and Käärijä but I only get Little Big especially from this song
YES! The sound is sooo similar. EUROPAPA and CHA CHA CHA both have that in-your-face booming production at times, whereas Espresso Macchiato feels more subtle.
I think the song is supposed to be art. Not everyone is supposed to get it. But with a catchy hook and simplistic song that will make you remember it even after the first listen, you'll be going back to it. This will come down to the live vocals and staging. I think Cash has enough charm to win over the televoters and he'll certainly be the favourite. Give this guy some sort of black and white colours with 1930s-1960s type props or staging and it WILL stand out EVEN at Eurovision. It seems generic at first but when you analyse it, it would be VERY different in terms of aesthetic and a throwback to 1930s-60s rather that it being just a pop song from our decade or the last one. It would bring something new to the table.
My favourite entry would be Minimal Wind with Armageddon but I think Estonia has a bigger chance with Tommy Cash and his Expresso Macchiato Song ( A Televote only semifinal is made for songs like that).
Estonia has so many better/fresher songs in the contest this year! Armageddon and Kulm sound so modern and could definitely appeal to the jury and the public if performed correctly! Espresso Macchiato would flop with the juries and the public might bring it to the final but thats about it! Also comparing this to Kaarija, Joost and Baby is an insult to those singers!
I’m not super enthusiastic, it’s a bit flat (white) I think kids will love it though and vote him in the final. He has to put som Kaariia or Europapa energy in his coffee. Cheers!
What worries me about the possibility of Tommy Cash not winning Eesti Laul is for the artist who wins it, and fans saying "Estonia would have scored higher if Tommy was selected..." That is what I don't want to hear or see. I also think everyone had their own expectation of what Tommy will bring and I suspect most expectations were not met... How this looks on stage could really change our perspective... For instance I had to see Konstrakta wash hands for 3 minutes for In Corpore Sano to really resonate with me... And I haven't looked back since. P.s. yes, there are definitely other great songs in Eesti Laul this year.
Just that Baby Lasagna was never a troll entry (despite the name), but a legitimate rock song and meaningful lyrics (even „Rim Tim Tagi Dim“ was the rhythm of the music he wanted to dance to one more time before leaving his village).
How in the world could anyone perceive baby lasagna to be a joke entry? Edit: or Käärija? That song was funny, but not a joke entry. It had deeper meaning.
An-Marlen is the strongest in Eesti Laul 2025. If chosen, the best chances for Top 15 in Basel. Espresso Machiatto is appalling and Psycho...it's psychopathic that it was put into Eesti Laul.
Estonia (for me) is one of the *meh* countries in Eurovision, last thing i really liked was La Forza, but this is amazing. I didnt hear other songs that are competing and after listening to this i dont want to. Estonia, send this man please
If Espresso Macchiato goes to Eurovision then I think 🇪🇪 are going to be my no.1 2years running 😅
Good sign for Estonia!
Yes!
The mv is a reference to Andy Warhol eating a burger king video
Hilarious

It could go do many ways. Let’s see! 🤩
*go so many ways

Always love an open national selection -- keeps things interesting!
to me it sounds like music from the '50s (eg: "You Wanna Be Americano")... and... I LOVE IT !!!
Love that vintage feel.

Ramtai is ass. Pick Ligo

That is a good sign indeed!

If Tommy can somehow charm the jury who will vote Sweden (if mans wins)
Then he has a great chance to win 🥇
He will get a lot of points from the people for sure…
He has 0 chances of winning with this song
@@sav0001 he does have a chance but its not high for sure

Even though it's Italian it feels also feels like an outdated russian pop bop. Overhyped and underdelivering.
Yep...reminds me of Uno
This could be an amazing opener for Eurovision.
It would definitely keep my attention : )

and it would receive just as many points in the final from thje jury as estonia did last year

Video inspired by Andy Warhol eating a burger in Jørgen Leths movie "66 Scenes From America"
Ahhhhhh thank you!

Very clever song about someone coping with stressful working environments.
I wish I could maintain his Zen at work 🧘♂️
Massive Little Big vibes
They’re buddies
TOTALLY!
Winner
Always love seeing how Estonia decides -- they're unpredictable!
I lav lav Tommy! He is like no one else. 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
I love love your use of lav lav!

Honestly tired of these kinds of entries they are getting so frequent since the kaarja effect
It will be interesting to see how the public responds!
really. i don't like coffee or espresso..... i like other entries in Eesti Laul... Ant or Elysa!
I don’t get it all tbh 🙊
Totally taken from Andy Warhol….
Art inspiring art.
I dont get the hype for this one, i really don't like it.
Ant Nurhan will be winner.
I prefer ANT
Oh no
Can staging turn that oh no into an oh yes?
@Wiwibloggs I prioritize hearing over visuals
Esspreso macchiato is not my cup of tea.
Hahaha. I prefer an Iced Oat Latte myself.
I don't like it. To me it sounds very Russian, like some kind of Soviet schlager. Very bad.
I see this winning Eesti Laul but not the whole thing. I think he will have the same fate as Finland 2024.
My favorite is Ant, Elysa, Tommy, Janek,
Please also react to 'Ma ei tea sind' 🙏🙏
We're reacting to every song -- coming soon!
I'm just so tired of these troll entries... From Kaarija to Baby Lasagna to this... I'm just tired.
Just that Baby Lasagna was never a troll entry (despite the name), but a legitimate rock song and meaningful lyrics (even „Rim Tim Tagi Dim“ was the rhythm of the music he wanted to dance to one more time before leaving his village).

Ant and Tommy Cash
No Q

meh countries are balkan countries with their pathetic ballads that i don't want to watch, much less listen to..
since you did not even hear the song with all the bla bla bla, how can you judge it
given that we are commenting about the song, we are clearly hearing it.
This song is very cringe and offensive to Italians
