@@glenndavis479 the possessive form of the word "it" is "its" ~ look it up. it does not have an apostrophe. it'll actually make you look much less rudimentary in life. i don't mean it in a mean way, i just hate seeing the (fairly common) misunderstanding. peace out.
@@DanielBoonelight Oh yes you are right...I see what I did wrong , old age has me at a disadvantage from time to time. : )
It's stories like this I want to see more of. This is my second time watching this movie and I like it a lot.
Didn't see that coming, what a lovely ending.
Ok Rebecca Manley, you got me. Freaking brilliant.
Not the ending I expected, but I'm not sure what I expected to be fair.
I am. I expected the romance to blossom. But it didn't.
It made total sense when seeing the breast decal and his chuffed as look walking down the lane
@@michaelcooney7687 And he gave back the money she paid for the coat.
@@cahidijoyoraharjo7833 it still may..

Yes … beautiful clip..🥰🥰
Deff NOT the ending I was expecting! BRAVO! Well done.
5:36 Wait a minute, she put on her WAR PAINT!
"Guys only want one thing and it's disgusting"
Guys:
Yep, it is disgusting...xD
Beautiful Woman , I would be Proud of her without and disgusting involved ...
BRAVO!!! This is a gem of a film. Rarely do we find wonderful artwork as this!!! Thank You!!!🧔🏾🥂👍🏿👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾
If it was me i would have tried for the jacket AND the girl !
Poor Amanda will now have to go home cold. Hahah but nevertheless a heartwarming story!
Isn't that all we need to be warm and happy?!? If it comes from within you, it's been my experience that 99 percent of the time, it's perfect and should be noticed and remembered......
Her name's Mandel
Depends. If it's cold and you have to wait an hour for the bus I'd be pretty angry about it.
Are you telling me it was his father's coat that he was wearing? What an ending.Amazing story
I have an old quilted shirt that belonged to my Dad. It's torn and tattered in some places but I still wear it sometimes. I really feels like a hug. The twist at the end got me. I didn't do the ugly cry but there were a couple of tears.
Sublime,,, beautifully acted, masterfully written and directed! 👏🏻👏🏻⭐️⭐️
How wonderful is this! Bravo, Rebecca. Thank you.
This was wonderful. I'm bawling my eyes out here, it's embarrassing!
I love these short films. They have so much in them.
This aroused in me the perfect amount of sentimentality. The actors were brilliant and I adored the lovely surprise ending!
That night she got ill from walking home in the cold.
The acting and cinematography with most of these shorts is well done. I appreciate it. I can't say that I enjoy most of the plots / storylines. Not my style.
Such a heart warming story. Keep narrating more @Rebecca Manley. Thank you @Allen
One of my favorites. Loved it. The ending was a surprise
i must admit i had trouble understanding their conversations (i am hard of hearing 😅) and i didnt get the ending the first time i watched it. and now that i do, i am in tears. kudos to the filmmakers and the actors, i loved each shot and savored the sentimentality and nostalgia of the film ❤️
Well! What a twist! Initially I was disappointed that they didn't get together, then I thought how cowardly he was to leave her the £20 and an explanation instead of asking her face to face. I'm sure he could have won the coat and the lady if he'd played his cards without such deceit, then perhaps he already had someone... a very interesting ending, thank you!
He has terrible shyness
Maybe he had a girl or married already.
Chances are that you’ve missed the point, you may want to consider rewatching it
@@homayounsolaimani8856i think I missed the point and I’ve seen it three times already. I’m confused as to why he bought the coat without asking her and how she wasn’t upset about him walking off with her coat
@@salma_Nella22 When he mentioned that his father was a tailor she touched her necklace with the word ‘Mum’ in a sentimental way as though she could relate to his comment. That might be why she wasn’t upset when he ‘bought’ it from her, because possibly she understood what the coat would mean to him and maybe he noticed that she did that. Also, he pays attention to detail as shown with his sewing! Great film.
In my opinion that short movie has better acting, unspoken messages and a greater understanding and demonstration of emotion and character than many full length movies and most mini series ive seen combined.👍
Explain y
@@raerubio8925 because the emotion in the actors eyes made me imagine stories and ideas that were not shown. It was like poetry. A great short movie. I have not watched it for ages and i can still remember it well. Real class.❤️👍👍
It would've been even better if he saw her again ❤️ I love it that he got his Dad's coat back, but giving her £20, and saying wrap up warm, she still has to find another coat for that amount, and get to the second hand shop without freezing.
That's exactly what I thought, she will be freezing heading back home~ and £20 is not enough~ I would go get her the coat she wants and exchange it~
Yeah it would have been far better if he had given her enough money for a new warm coat
Wow just wow. How sweet and warm.
Omeleto buddy u r amazing. I genuinly think you are an awesome being.
Love you man.
What a brilliant film! Hats off to Rebecca Manley. If she continues to make films, I expect great things from her. 😎
My exact same feelings !
Nice story, but my mind just can't be in peace knowing that the girl had to walk outside without a jacket, it must be really cold.
she had her memories to keep her warm
Yes, I also can't get it) But as we can see, this story has some special logic of itself)
I was surprised at the ending. It's wonderful that he got his father's coat back, but I think it would have been better if he hadn't just taken off with the coat and left the woman with no coat to wear in the cold.
This is the most descriptive version of what i saw. Ty. I had NO IDEA what was going on in the end.
It's hard to love that ending, yet it's actually kind of the perfect ending in some ways
It's so nostalgic so melancholic
It put me into time travel instantly
I wish I cud get some of those things which were part my growing up fr
Or ex. my window grill, or a piece of plaster on which I etched my stories on
All that's gone forever
The way he threw away those tickets at the end bothered me. There's actually a few things in this story that bother me.
Did NOT see that coming at the end! Well done.
Brilliant twist at the end. Simply brilliant!
This is probably my favourite short.
Ugh this reminds me of the office....when Jim and Pam were doing this back and forth thing for a few seasons before they finally got together...but I do think this was a beautiful video. I relate with the obvious social anxiety that they both seem to have had.
it was about the coat, not them.
Such an unexpected twist. How nice.
On the culmination
i thought for a second that she's his lost sister or smth like that :D
It was his Dads coat !
Brilliant twist and nuanced images. Enjoyed it a lot!
So good.
Miss my dad.
They fall in love, in the present moment, but the story is timeless, in other words: universal.
the story led you down that path, his love however was for his fathers coat..
0:25 - _non mihi, non tibi, sed nobis._ "Not for me, for for you, but for us."
When ray said “shouldn’t you be in the kitchen” I must died 🤣
Sweet story. She was a cutie. Loved her dimples.
Reading the comments, a lot of people are saying that he was just interested in the jacket, but I think I have to agree with those saying that he was interested in her before looking at the jacket, so I think they are going to be togheter
I am new to Omeleto and I love everything I have seen. The acting has been great and the surprise endings
Very heartwarming. I didn't expect that little twist.
What the heck! Now she gotta walk home cold 🤣 I think he should’ve asked to buy it from her instead of just taking it 🙄
He did buy it from her. That’s why there was money clipped to the note
@@joanstarkovich3416 worth more than what he gave her. Can't buy it without her consent, it's THEFT.
@@jime6739 It had the price tag in it. He compensated her for the coat. But, yeah, ethically questionable. It would have been better if he showed her the picture and offered to buy her a better coat in exchange.
Sweet & full of undelivered promise... this may be a short, but it dies without a second act... don't give up!
I might be in the minority here, but if someone took my coat without my permission I'd be pretty upset. That being said, if he would've asked and gave the reason why, I would've given him the coat. I know people like the twist ending, but I can't get over that part.
Yeah I would have been so pleased to find a good coat for £20 and devastated to lose it. PTSD every time you have to put your coat in a cloakroom now!
brilliant story. Lovely characters. What a great ending. unexpected.
Me, I'd have gone for both. That's like the universe flashing a big neon sign in the sky going, "Move ass you fool!"
LOL , Correct , I would have kept Her !
Thoroughly convincing acting, beautiful pacing and a poignant, heartwarming story. A real pleasure to watch
If the theory of ( we are all separated by six degrees of separation) is a valid theory, I don’t see why it wouldn’t apply to this sweet short. After all they each have been touched physically and emotionally by an object “garment”!!!! An object that it’s role isn’t limited by covering and protecting but in this case goes beyond that simple function and in addition it serves as connecting sort of human lives. In another word, we are all connected in some ways though we fail to admit that connection via enforcing our differences in general e. g. Racism, ideology etc.
He could have gotten more than that coat.
They would have made a nice couple.
I feel so happy for him but....sad for her because she really liked him and he make her feel he liked her back, he only wanted the coat back.
Sophie Harkness! Great film!
