Took my OMD EM10 Mark II with the 17mm f/1.8 out on the streets of Sydney down at Circular Quay for the 90th Anniversary of the Harbour Bridge. Practicing with the 17mm lens and shooting from the hip or as I like to call it Shooting from the heart. With the camera attached to the camera strap at belly level and with the liveview screen popped out, it's a great way to secretly take action photos of people unaware to get candid moments. Anyway I took more photos of the Opera House with the golden afternoon light shining but ended up with some nice street shots.
Filmed with the Insta360 Go II camera in POV style and talking head footage with the Sony ZV1. I also used the Sony for some street shots and they turned out pretty good, especially at night as it's a 1.8 lens also. Missed a lot of shots due to how dark it got and the shutter speed was too slow, but on some of the shots the motion blur was to its favour.
Jerry didn't come, but she did give me some inspirational comments that put my mind at ease and reassured me that I am doing OK... Warming up is crucial when doing street photography to release all that nervous energy and by about the 5th shot I was carefree and shooting from the heart.
