Hi there Average Joe, just subbed your channel to support another fellow hiking RUclipsr. Look like we hike in some of the same places. I am doing this hike soon, thanks for taking us along with you and showing what the trail is like.
Its been along time ago sense I have been to the top of the fire tower and its an awesome view. Someone took the time to paint their feet and there is white feet paint prints all the way up the tower. That is known as the brumbly gap 🔥 fire tower. Just set back for a few minutes and think that it was someones job to look out over the vast acreage mountain sides and valley's for signs of fire ...think of the wind and cold. It is a truly awesome place to see
One of my favorite hikes in Virginia, I think I've hiked it around a dozen or so times since 2012. I was up there with my grandson just a couple months back. I only live about 20 miles from the upper trailhead. Nice video, thanks for letting us tag along.
Hiked it for the first time yesterday...gorgeous but the park maps are inaccurate...almost turned back coz the map said we missed the rocks. Being there reminds me of the movie "Picnic At Hanging Rock".
Thanks! Great video. I did this hike, or rather - came up to the rock formations and honestly got scared. By myself, near sunset... I was sure I'd get lost in it! I just wanted to glance at it for future reference. So, your video is welcome. Next time, I'll start earlier, with a buddy. But I am curious - how in the world do you find your way?! Did you ever find your backpack? lol
It is easy to get turned around but all roads eventually lead to Rome, just leave it at the entrance rather than leave it in the middle somewhere! Happy trails!
Hey Joe! Decided to watch this instead of napping! :D A good choice.
