Nothing is wrong with Adrian. I like him. I like GC Mah as well. But Adrian’s presentation is much better in terms of delivering the review. Good job lad! Didn’t expect you’re 175cm. Looks shorter! 😂
We need an honest review, if its underpowered just say so, if the seat is uncomfortable or the engine or road noise can enter the cabin just mention it, if the pros are good enough or the cons are acceptable some consumer will still buy it, no need to sugar coat the comments too much. I am sure your viewers will appreciate it.
In my opinion, I use aruz and it's very comfortable and it's not that underpowered. But yeah the engine does roar a bit while going uphill with 7 people on board. The audio quality is good. The leather seat quality is really great. And it's quite comfortable for long journey.
The best honest review, if its underpowered just say so...if the seats lacked lumbar support just say so...Dont sugar coat. Honestly with small CC cars, the suv can be design with rev higher rpm just like F1 cars revving at close to 20,000 rpm. Those olden dats engines are not designed to Revv high due to lacked of lighter synthetic oil. Nowadays synthetic oil is a must and engines can Rev higher
good review, covered most of the aspects we needed. love the talking while driving shot, but it could probably be replaced by another perspective, because it is really dangerous to not look at the road while driving. be safe!
For a rear wheel "Van" kinda configuration, CVT is definitely the wrong choice as the steel belt can break due to heavy stress. CVT is good for light duty car white offer speed. For aruz, 4 speed mechanical automatic are far better for reliability.
Wow, the floor are so high that when you want to enter to the third row, your leg is at 90degree bend. I wonder if this car is suitable for older people since ground clearance is high.
@Mind your own business i don't mean the height of the older people. What i mean is, some old people got restricted movement of their body like can't lift their body or legs to get into the car.
Excuse me if I'm wrong, but as a comment from a Sabahan, a proper SUV must have 4 wheel drive! Either part time or full time! Adrian, a CVT is not a good suggestion. Better to have a conventional auto but at least 5 speed transmission. CVT has yet to prove themselves in terms of robustness and reliability. Aruz may be a fine glorified VAN but it is DEFINITELY not a SUV. And a 5 speed auto transmission (6 speed is asking too much in terms of cost) will help tremendously.
Rather than a van,its more like a MPV.I don't call aruz a SUV,its a MPV that disguised as a SUV. And for 1.5L engine is not good for a big and heavy car like this. The 4 speed auto in this car is so outdated. CVT is quite problematic when it first introduce but every year its much better.a good cvt has a better fuel consumption than automatic gearbox.
Just an information for you guys... This car used the same underpinning as the avanza (hence the longitudinal engine layout) and the engine came from vios and myvi advance (1500cc)... But hey, easy spare part maaa...!!
You can see Adrian shaking around when he is speaking while driving, and the work van like engine drone when going uphill. However to be very honest after driving the car it is really quite poor to drive. Among the Economy 7 Seater MPVs, the Ertiga is wayy better in terms of refinement, comfort, driving etc. . While the safety front is down on the Aruz, I on the flipside can never put down good driving experience and good comfort.
Good thing this vehicle does NOT come with those weak and cheap CVTs, especially given it's mass. A 5 or 6 speed auto with well selected ratios and driver selectable gearing would have been ideal.
aruz is actually a good car tbh but why are some people so weird said it's underpowered. maybe it's underpowered but you guys need to understand that aruz is a big car, for family not for racing and so on. so please stop throw a tantrum
Define your version of climb. 1.5N.A engine with 4 speed gearbox is a complete failure. At least put in a 1.5T or at least a 1.8L 6 speed AT or cvt will be much better.
1. Malaysia road are unique, more unique than Thai and Viet 2. It’s just RM70k not RM700k 3. 1.5L or even 1.0L definitely can climb hill 4. BUT is need more force. 5. That come Torque , Horsepower or Turbo 6. If someone who carry 1.3 tons of stone, definitely they need more force. That is why NM of torque are important to calculate how much of force to carry a 1,300kg of stone that produces horsepower(speed). 7. The commercial product are base on reliability of the car but not racing type, that is why 8. Supercar are difficult to maintain because they are not reliable and they made for speed. 9. Do you get the picture of what does an engine work for a commercial vehicle? 10. If still don’t know, than need to start back from how many NM of torque that produce the speed to carry a 1300kg of stones.
we test it on the roundabout & curve lane its almost fell off...very bad stability...no different with my bezza, installed some sway bar & change wider tyre still drive like boat😰

Samuel Tan it’s a different car with different purpose . people that is into 7 seater will buy this and people who sre not into 7 seater will buy the X50 . just like what honda did with the brv and the hrv . both cars sells relatively well
we don't have Perodua in Egypt we only have Proton ( newest is Prevé) , Honestly I've never heard about Perodua befor but it seems magnificent!

The double press to unlock all 4 doors function is in fact an excellent SECURITY FEATURE. It prevents people from sneaking in from other doors.

All malaysian car reviewers are too afraid to say the truth..always use "sufficient", "enough", "not a sportcar"..

5:48. I thought you can switch between single or central unlock. Please read the manual first.
I drive aru everyday. No motion sickness whatsoever. I can see traffic ahead very far.
2019 AVANZA 1.5!!!! I used the ol' 1.3 AVANZA, excellent in town, dam noisy on the highway above 80km/h, good re-sale value.

In Indonesia This car name is TERIOS By Daihatsu
Toyota Rush in In Philippines 2 Toyota Rush Clones
Terios in indo
Aruz in malay
Rush for international
Aruz 75kW/133Nm pushing 1310kg.
Kia Forte 112kW/192Nm pushing 1320kg.
Am I missing something or do Malaysians drive sloooooow.....
Ada liat di kak indo , saye kira awal nya Terios atau Rush tapi saye liat nama mobil ternyata aruz
Masuk bolt in turbo..agak2 sedap tak? Mcm exora bold..nk tmbah hp sikit
How can an Aruz 7-seater MPV be compared to a Toyota Rush 5-seater 4WD SUV? What's the logic because both is 1.5 ltr?
Okay. Thank god. I did not regret buying BRV
In Indonesia the name is Daihatsu Terios
How much is the insurance for aruz
Can u guys import this car.

Your bank loan already approved? Why it is so long to wait? Is it bcos so many waiting list...
Sub urban best deal , good water wading .., in tough terrain , full load climbing mountain and 3 very slow oil tanker in front ,need 4at not cvt
You have to compare aruz with avanza also

A product that is purpose built for malaysian. Great job perodua!
It was purpose built for the Indonesia market not Malaysia...It's a rebadge of Toyota Rush with only cosmetic changes
it's avanza on steroid
Buffer body
but same power
Double pressing to unlock all 4 doors is actually a safety feature
Yeah it's not annoying
Agree, love it on exora

Almost perfect but too ground clearance imho is high,my mum cannot step in..she prefers brv
