Reminds me of the 2012 days I used to buy my brits ect from bullion dealers. It gets very heave over time when you get too much. Be aware of storage space. Great vid 👍🏻
Are they just regular Britannias? I've been buying those more than any other sovereign coin because the premiums are lower. Mine didn't come encapsulated though.
Can someone please explain how selling silver works? I'm paying VAT on the purchase, so if I go the dealer they won't be able to reclaim the VAT but have to charge it on the sale. So I'm 20% down from the off, is my only real option to sell private? i.e the mint are selling 1oz Brit at £28+vat = £34, Chards buy at £17 (spot £18) so I want to be looking to sell privately around the £25-28 mark? Undercutting the buy new from dealer price? Ive just ordered my first coins so want to understand the out. Thanks
Hello Richard. Apologies on the late reply. In response to your question. Sale of silver will be treated as a capital gain. If you are selling the ornament after having held it for more than 36 months, then it will be treated as a long term capital gain and you can avail the benefit of indexation. The long term capital gain is charged at 15%. However when you sell privately you will always be better of than selling to a bullion dealer. That is also for Gold too. However having said that. The tax free limit of £12,300 is set for the 2021/22 financial year and is reviewed every year. So this can change but at the moment this means; you can sell up to £12,300 before being taxed. I hope this helps. Thankyou for watching.
I got a tube of 25 of these but they are not in a air tight capsules. What do people do leave them in the tubes or take them out and put them in capsules?
Hi Robert. It’s personal preference but I believe most leave them in the tubes. That’s what I would do if I had 25. However individually I like them in capsules :) Hope this helps.
Hey man just found your channel and subscribed ... lovley coins ... did you get a receipts with the order when your order with bullion by post ? Physical metals are real wealth fait currencys are dead in the waster . Silver has more room to move its 50% away from its all time high ... gold holds and stores your wealth over time it will increase .
Hi Sam! Thankyou for your comment and Subscribing! I really appreciate it! I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s quite crazy how so many people don’t know about Precious metals and the value they give you in protection against inflation! And yes BBP give you a paper receipt with your orders.
Correct it is extortionate. I paid £30 a coin before vat. So quite expensive!! But I’m holding for 25 years till retirement, so I easily expect to recoup my costs and some. Thankyou for watching :)
Keep it up and your stack of Britannias will be 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000 ... I wouldn't be so impatient about buying when there is a crisis, though. I would recommend putting the money aside and waiting for the situation to play out. Market prices are volatile and emotional when there is a crisis afoot.
I think the Britannia’s are one of the best looking and secure silver coins but a lot of the ones I have suffer from milk spots, how that will affect their price in future remains to be seen.
Congrats on the new Britannia's I am ordering some today because I have heard a rumour Silver and Gold might for real "rocket to the moon" within next 1 to 2 months. I think I will order 6 Britannia's. Btw Bullionbypost has changed the way they deliver coins in larger amounts in past if you ordered 5 or more they would arrive in a tube with no coin capsules but sealed in a Royal Mint Tube that has a max amount of 10 that can fit and they would put foam in if you ordered say 6 or 8 so they don't bang around but to you they sent them in capsules. Never seen that before from bullionbypost used them for over 2 years. Congrats on getting the silver and I will be buying the exact same coins just less 6 later tonight.
That’s a awesome comment, Thankyou. That’s super interesting to hear how BBP have sent and packaged items before and now, that’s interesting. I’m actually pleased they individually came in capsules. I believe Gold and Silver will keep rocketing up aswell all while the Ukraine war is happening. Thankyou for supporting the channel and good luck on your stacking :)
@@FutureInvestmentsBullion I've slowed down this month the spot prices are disgusting. All the best in buying your house that is the top of the chain in terms of investment.
@@rulebritannia4006 Great plan Rule Britannia! I think that’s the smart thing. I’ve bought a bit now will wait it out like you and hope they fall a bit in price. Thankyou, I appreciate that 😁😁
Thankyou. In my opinion, no one wants them, but there’s bigger problems in life to worry about. We already are ahead having own precious metals so yeah, I’m not worried about it. Thanks for watching and commenting mothballjim!
@@FutureInvestmentsBullion also it’s a cool video idea for you - get yourself a normal pencil rubber and use it on the milk spots. They come off with ease!

I suppose it depends where you order from but really the seller should at least put it in a capsule. They are regular 2022 Britannias yes 👍🏻

Great video, nice stack of silver you’ve got now. Congratulations on 300 subscribers :)
Thankyou Lou! :D
What price did you pay per ounce since I find the vat on the already high premium somewhat extortionate in the uk atm.

@@playzen8 Agreed! Maybe I should have bought more! Haha
It is my favorite. A beautiful coin with reasonable premiums.

Hi mate. I believe they cancelled the code. But I could be wrong. I will have a look and try to find out for you.

Great stuff. I’d use Tavex Bullion though. They’re cheaper.
