Long time bro tks for another great video, next serie could be mage knight but not main rules (cuz there's a few videos already) maybe some combat examples with resistances elemental attacks etc

So the elimination for the Dead Men makes no sense to me. You can recruit them while in an adjacent region as Aragorn/Strider but they are eliminated if Aragorn/Strider isn't with them. So wouldn't that immediately eliminate them?
Once the dead men are activated, you immediately move Strider/Aragon to Erech to join them. Then if he's separated from them, they are eliminated.

First of all, thanks for the great rule summary for this expansion, it really helps a lot!
However, there is a tiny mistake in the video in connection with the shadow players “wild die” result. You may only use this icon to change the die to a “draw or play a faction card”, or “recruit a faction” result. So it is not possible to change this die to an “eye” symbol as you mentioned.

In case of mustering Dead men. Why don't mountains affect it when Aragorn's in Helm's Deep ?
I'm still confused on how call to battle cards work. Are they immediately in play when a faction is near or at a defending army? Or is it played like how regular combat works when choosing a card to engage in battle with.
They are played like regular combat cards. Sorry that wasn't clear.
If your faction(s) fulfill the 'call to battle' requirements, then at the start of a round of combat the faction's two 'call to battle' cards are added to your hand of event cards, and they can be played as combat cards just as you would any other event card. After a round of combat the call to battle cards that have been played are returned to your hand again, enabling you to repeat the same 'call to battle action' multiple times in a row if a fight lasts a couple of turns. When combat ends you put the call to battle cards aside, ready for use in a later battle.

Hi, in 6:30 you say that whenever there's a combination of two symbols, in the faction dice, that you can do "either/or". According to my reference sheet you can do just ONE of those two options. So "either" shouldn't apply. Can you confirm? Thanks!
Your interpretation is correct. I do these videos without a script, so issues like that arise sometimes with my casual vocabulary

Are faction pieces taken as casualties and if so can I choose who dies?
No. Faction figures are not Army units and are best kept separate from other units in the same space. They have no combat strength and are eliminated in different ways.

Can factions be attacked instead of attacking normal units first?
No. Factions are not armies and cannot be directly attacked. Each faction has their own rules as to how they are eliminated. Very often, their bonus occurs after the controlling player elects to eliminate a faction figure.
Factions add even more confusing rules to explain to newcomers, and they are considerably situational. You need to forget everything and build your playstyle around them, if you wanna really use them.
That's an interesting perspective... Do you enjoy using them?

I have never tried thme but feel the base game is quite enough for your first play 8as either side), Lords of Middle Earth seesm easier to add (they do just what one expects from the books).
