- I got to attend the Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Event at Nordstrom the other night & scooped up a bunch of new stuff to put to the test! I saw the comments complaining about your contouring and winged liner. All I can say is that I do not agree. I watch you because you amaze me at how you can put 100 products on your face and still look fresh faced and "natural". I will watch your videos no matter what kind of look you are doing.

Yes. Yes. Yes.. I just placed my first CT order, and I was sooo happy to get a sample of Goddess Mask, Night Cream, Eye Cream, Magic Cream, etc..... The shipping was a tad bit slow then other sites, but, the samples make up for it....

You take the time to listen to your viewers, and are constantly evolving as a youtuber, and it shows. You do a great job at showing the low end and high end items, as well as natural and glam looks.

Hi there - Commenting despite feeling like I may be attacked, only to offer an explanation you asked for assistance with. I feel like I completely understand the dichotomy of your comments. I personally (and it's only MY opinion) feel like the weight of your foundation/base sometimes leaves you looking a little plastic - perfect, yes. Absolutely! But Like Charlotte Tilbury says 'let the woman wear the makeup' not vice versa - often there is not much 'skin' in your skin. This is the first time I've see "you" in your make up. Not a completely blanked out, contoured canvas built to look like someone else. I think that really DONE look is really great, occasionally - but I think varying it up a little shows your depth as a makeup artist. Lashes and contouring are nice - but no one realistically does them during the week unless they have something special to got to. Hence the dichotomy of youtube and television AND magazines - people want the dream sometimes (lashes and contouring) and reality the rest of the time to make them feel better and learn. That aside, contouring is on the way out (despite what beauty counters say)... Skin is the next being thing!!! Otherwise - DO YOU! Colours and styles you like. playing with techniques and colours Matte/Glowing/Natural/Full lid colours without cut creases/No liner etc... Just my 2 cents. Thanks for your great content!!

I'll probably always contour.. (I don't go all out so it may not be comparable) but I have a very round face and it helps a lot :p

Josephine Paramel I'm from Australia and in Oz (where Chloe Morello is) while very very light contouring is popular, we wear much more natural bases.. If you like Chloe and you haven't already checked out Karima McKimmie and Sharon Farrell - I think you'd love them! Also a UK makeup artist going by Harry Makes It Up. They're all fantastic too! :) Have a great day!
she has a blurring edit on her videos that makes her skin seem flawless. a lot of beauty gurus use bright lights that make this happen also. it's pretty annoying seeing them review a foundation when the editing is doing all the work.
This is my favorite look for you. You seriously look like a Grecian goddess and I am so obsessed with you. Your eyes pop and the lip is perfect. I also think that the cheeks are just a natural glow and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this more natural, yet perfect look because you don't look like a different person. Instead the makeup just accentuated your already beautiful face.

There are makeup gurus out there with every possible preference regarding intensity, price range for products, natural vs. glam, etc. No one person, no matter how much they care about their subscribers, can possibly represent every variance on the spectrum of people's preference! Tati, you put things on your face that make YOU happy, that make YOU feel beautiful, and I guarantee that for most of us, that's what makes your channel so fascinating, entertaining, and informative. I learn a lot about the products and techniques that you like - and if I'm feeling a more natural, fresh face, I'll go watch some of the other gurus I love! Do what you do and let anyone who doesn't appreciate it find their own way out.
I loved your comment to one of the complainers on THIS video about supporting and admiring other women and building each other up. Maybe one of the ways you could do that AND give something for those looking for a more " natural " take is to promote or collaborate with some other RUclipsrs who have different styles? That way we get to celebrate each other and find a new take on beauty!

HOLY COW. This is one of the most beautiful looks I've ever seen you do. The products look like magic, and everything brought to perfection. I personally love all the looks you wear! It's what makes you YOU and its your style/signature. I'm a very smoky eyed, bold and daring girl with my eyeshadow. I think having your signature makes you go you are but knowing how to bring out and highlight those certain features, makes you an artist. Stick to doing you! People need to understand that some days are play days to see what we can create with our inspiration. You have your days when you like to mix it up and days to play it safe. I think you could do a mixture of natural looks and full glam to satisfy everyone. Plus, it's all subjective...what one person thinks is natural might not be to another. So people just need to embrace your version of natural and realize it could have sparkle :)

I love when beauty gurus say they love doing stuff and yet in their videos it's the first time I've seen them do it. Such as the tapping technique in this video, funny how I didn't see that in her skincare routine..or any other time she has applied moisturizer.

To all the people complaining about the cost of this brand or other high end brands, let's do a little math! You spend $300 on a range of low end/drugstore makeup that is meh....or you spend $300 on a few amazing high end products that are incredible. Either way you have spent $300. It's her money to spend as she wishes. If it really bothers you then do not watch her videos. Jealousy is never beautiful not matter how "pretty" the package.

Agreed. For example i myself can't afford to buy CT products in 1 go, but I am fitting it in my budget and getting it one by one rather than keep picking ip 'meh' products all the time that I end up not using anyway.
Tati never once said that these were the "end all be all" of products out there. I happen to agree with you that yes, of course there are great products in every price range as Tati herself has said many times. The objective of the video was to show a luxury brand products and decide if they were "hot or not" that is all
Except that many times, the only difference is the packaging. Look at the ingredients in some drugstore cosmetics vs. some of the high-end cosmetics and you'll see little, if any, differences. I do agree that it's her money and people shouldn't really complain. BUT - while this is her channel, she's even said she does what she does for her viewers. Most of her viewers can't (or don't want to) purchase luxury/high-end products and I'd wager that she'd prefer feedback (even if it's a little negative) than for loads of people to simply unsubscribe without even telling her why. As long as feedback isn't rude, there's nothing wrong with it - negative or otherwise. Most gurus want to cater their channels to what most people want and in order to do that, they need to KNOW what people want.
I don't care one way or the other, just offering some insight. I'm here for the techniques first, products second.

I don't understand how you can put that many products on your face and still look natural. I swear, BB cream doesn't even look natural on me!! And because I am young (as are many of your viewers, I think?) I prefer the natural look. :) Just my two cents, but you are GORGEOUS with any amount of makeup- none and when you say that you look a little powdery (before setting spray in some of your tutorials) :) LOVE YOU! Make sure you are getting your skin exfoliated and moisturized well enough and that your bb cream is the right color & tone. I had no end of trouble with foundation until I got my skincare organized and realized that my skin tone is cool not neutral. Good luck!

tati can you please do a tutorial for young girls because I'm 13 and I need some makeup advice . I usually wear pink and brown on my lid or like a shimmery sand color on my lid with brown , mascara, concealer and a pinkie nude lipstick from lancome .can you do the tutural one drugstore and the other high end make up because my collection is a mix between the 2. pluse I dance and my mom usually does my makeup for shows and I would like to start doing my own makeup. the only reason why I'm asking this is because your the best 💜u

When I was 13 I didn't even know what lancome was. I started first wearing makeup when I was 16 and it was nothing more than black kajal I didn't know how to use lol
I know you asked for her opinion not mine, but personally I think your description sounds pretty perfect already for your age. Of course you don't have to wear makeup if you don't want to, especially at your age but it sounds like you have a very good routine already. Hopefully you remove the mascara in a very gentle way though, that's the biggest "makeup" mistake I did at your age, rubbing and losing a lot of lashes..
Jennifer Fuehrer wow, we are really similar in makeup. I have mostly drugstore products but a few high end, and I also do dancing and I would like to do my own makeup. Except that I'm 12. I'd really like a really natural look cause I normally just wear lipgloss and lipstick and fill in my brows

Hey, I like this look but I saw some shimmer particles on the face after applying eye makeup, is this fallout continue throughout the day?(I saw more shimmer particles at the end of the day) if it does, then I will pass on this...I cannot stand that! Maybe a primer will help that?

wow ur skin looked AMAZING after powder! loved it :) I'm trying the loreal lumi foundation at the moment because i have dry skin but prone to spots in the t zone :( - can still get flaky in the t zone tho. ANYWAY my question is what powder do u recommend that wouldn't make me look matte and cakey? using the rimmel stay matte atm and its looking not good :( preferably drugstore (UK please) because stuff i repurchase a lot i like it to be drugstore haha x thanks in advance

I love the Tarte Primed and Poreless powder. I dust it on with Charlotte Tilbury's sculpting brush (a larger, pointy brush) in just the areas where I get shiny, around my nose, forehead, chin. I don't use powder all over because I don't want it to cling to dry areas or wrinkles!
I use that powder too middle aged and dry skin I think a setting spray stops the cakey look I'm currently using Mac fix plus but you can get a nyx one cheaper. Look at Tatis video on setting sprays it's an old one x
physician formula makes some pretty good affordable powders, some have a matte finish and some have a luminous finish. i also suffer from dry and sensitive skin and i find them work best for me because they do not dry out my skin more and are good when my skin is irritated :) although i think the luminous one exaggerate pores a bit so if you have big pore issue then be aware :)
I don't get how this cream is so magical and moisturizing given that alcohol denat is the first ingredient. Anyone care to enlighten me?

as for what I personally would like to see in the video's I love natural and jazzed up looks...I am really into makeup so I am always trying to do something fun with mine and it's helpful to have someone like you to defer to when it comes to color and the like so I don't get bored. :) you can't please everyone, you are beautiful, your tutorials are excellent, the best I've found on youtube and you are very much appreciated by many people on youtube.
