Thanks for the video. I was able to follow throught and changed my cv for the 1st time after 11years on the road. (2010 model)TFS 85. Thanks very much.👍
Hey man killer vid! Could you do a steering rack replacement video? I got a rc 2010 collie and had some trouble with mine over the years thinking about replacing it Cheers
Thanks mate. Awesome demo. The parts 4wd 24/7 don't show you lol. They make it look like a quick in and out. I have a colorado 7, so same deal. Man I'm getting free wheeling hubs after watching this. Looks like an absolute c*nt to do on the tracks!. Thanks again Cheers
I’ve spent a lot of time on Dmax front ends I rip em off real quick when I not recording, it’d definitely be a bugger without the right gear which chances are you won’t have on the tracks. No worries!
Great video mate. I just broke my CV, so will follow this video. Luckily I had free wheeling hubs too so I could get off the track. What suspension are you running? I see ball joint spacers. Thanks again for posting this.
Thanks for the feedback! Running the Superior Suspension 4” lift kit. Came with the ball joint spacers, diff drop, rear brake line extensions and probably something else or too. Awesome kit
Thanks for the video I think of broken a CV. The steering wheel just seems to twitch to the left every now and then while driving full stop is that a symptom of a damaged CV?
Hi, just looking to change a drive shaft for my 2014 dmax. And I can't find much information on this subject. So I'd like to know if I have to disassemble and drain the differential to remove the shaft like you do in the video or I can, like some models, pull on it to remove it? Thank you for your answers, it would help me a lot (sorry if my English is bad, I'm French)
If you don’t drain the oil it will leak a bit out when you pull the CV put meaning it will need a top up anyways. You will save oil but not draining it but I’m pretty sure it takes less than 2L to replace so I recommend to drain the whole lot and replace
Hi I have a 2011 isuzu dmax and I was recently changing the left front axle and noticed a loose gear inside the front diff tunnel. The end of the inboard joint goes through that gear but I'm wondering if it is supposed to be loose and free like that. Dont think it could fall out because it was sealed in but wondering about all that play.
I did, there are some terrible cheap ones not worth wasting your time with especially when you could need them out on the tracks. If stronger ones are available still doesn’t mean they’re better it will make it more likely that next time you push the front end you could snap an axle in the diff instead

Nice to see it seems to work on the older models, you’re welcome
Excellent vid buddy. Thank you for sharing that. I’m sure it has helped many Isuzu owners. Regards, Mario.
Thanks a lot! Glad to hear
Hi. I've broken a couple of lh outer cvs. Left hand down to lock in reverse. Going to free wheeling hubs. I like your dmax setup. Great vids.
Free wheeling hub are the best! The trouble you can run into without them isn’t worth not having them

Sounds really weird, you’ll only break a CV in 4x4 though do you do that often?

In and out movement is normal if that’s what you’re talking about it won’t be able to slip out if that’s the case
Are these similar to the older dmaxs to do?
Where did you get your free wheeling hubs?
Genuine Aisin ones off eBay
I think this is a rhetorical question but did u pack thar bearibg with grease and apply grease 2 the seal before installtion
I didn’t clean nor contaminate the bearings so it’s okay to put them back, I did put grease on the seal
@@matthewxerri867 where could I source a new pair of CV axles for my 2014 dmax
hi do you know if the left and right cvs are the same?
They are
I need help to replace cv joint in 2010 isuzu d teq 4x4
Good ❤
Just a question how much are they to replace ?
Seen nasty repco ones for $50, but they have $300 ones that look sweet! I got an OEM from the wreckers for $150 and from the dealer they said $800!
Hi
Matthiew
I have a 2011 D-max 4x4 5 speed manuel
I live in USA
Where can I buy it? Do you know?
Thank you
Did you use genuine CVs ?

Can I drive 4/4 baki with out cv joint
What’s the part number for the bearing and seal
A little chaotic but good job!
Thanks boss!!
Would a 2011 Colorado be similar
If it looks like the older Dmax a then it will be different unfortunately
Привет. Есть фото кузова этой машины? Хочу такой-же сделать
Miss titled. Should be How to Replace Half Shaft....NOT "joint"
