Goodbye WLIO Forever Rest In Peace
1972-2009
Lovely celebration, really nice. Thanks for sharing.
I can't help but think of that old line from politics, "are you better now than 8 years ago?" My digital cellphone, my TW digital phone, IBOC, you name it. Me thinks sometimes high tech is not the answer.
Gosh I didn't think there were any of those old RCA TTU-series still around. I ran a TTU30 back in the early 1970s. You're going to save a lot of money not boiling water with those old inefficient klystrons.
Nice piece of vintage equipment
My brain is still analog!
Can you help with that Fred?
Go Fred! Tell the story! I remember this station.
The End Of The Era.
