I want to thank you Ron for all the wonderful Sundays. Your voice is so calm and comforting in these difficult times. Looking forward to all the good that comes in the future. Have a great week Ron and Russell
Ron, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for every episode in this series. Words really can't express how much you have helped to get me through the last year and some difficult times (with my job and other stress I had going on). I know everything has to eventually come to an end but nonetheless I shall really miss getting a video from you every Sunday! With various projects in the pipeline and new music to look forward to I'm not complaining! And to end on The Rhythm Thief! One of my favourite songs, so unique (even by Sparks' standards). Much love to you & Russell, you guys truly are the best x
Thank you for keeping the year long series up, it was a bright star in our sky. See y’all in several places in 2022, we love you and can’t wait to see you! 💕
I followed Sparks in the 70's and 80's ( I was 9 when 'This Town' hit the UK charts and then to my shame I neglected them and got into other artists for a long time, but when I saw The Sparks Brothers documentary and saw clips of their output from the last 20 years, I listened to every album in order and now I'm obsessed with 'The Rhythm Thief' and 'My Baby's Taking Me Home' - can't (and won't) stop listening to them! Thank you, Ron and Russell - There has never been - and never will be - anyone remotely like you!
Dear Ron thank you from the Bottom of my heart for 52 warm rays of light in this dark time. I am very happy for both of you that you can now finally get back to work in your old familiar combination. I think russell in particular has been longing for this moment he must have been sitting on hot coals for a long time and could hardly wait for it to continue. So now with full sparks energy to the new album. I can't wait to hear the first new songs the main thing is hopefully both of you stay healthy and hopefully we will see you all next spring to celebrate together. Somewhere there is hope, somewhere are there dreams far from everywhere let's go celebrated with Russell and Ron! ! Lights on say goodbye to the pandemic! ! Take care see you soon! Lovely Greetings
Oh Ron, thank you so much, my favorite song to close this very special year! 💖 You were the sunshine of my Sundays! ☀️ I'm looking forward to the next tour, the new album and all the rest! See you soon 😊
Thank you for doing this project for a year, it was very fun. It made my day seeing you and Russell in the same room on Instagram working on the new album!
Thank you so much for your lyrically speaking series Ron. It’s really sad to say goodbye but it’s been a high point in a tough year. Stay safe and never lose your Sparks
I'm going to miss this, but wish to thank you for taking the time to do this for as long as you did. Really looking forward to the new stuff and seeing you in London and Bexhill 2022. Who knows, maybe another. . .
I just wanted to send a quick note before the surge of new fans from the film's release to let you know how happy it makes me to have found this series, even if I am a bit late. I had such a crush on you in the 80s, Ron, and you've still got that charm! Sparks is a brilliant light and I am looking forward to Annette and the new album. Hope to see you on tour!
Lyrics are poetry, poetry is lyrics. Thank you for generosity during this horrible point in world history, you gave me something to look forward to. Do come to Australia soon, we would love to have.🦘🐨🦜🦋🥰
Thank you so, so, sooo much Ron, for your peaceful Sunday lyric-reading company. I will miss it. On the other hand; it is a great joy to hear about a new Sparks album in the works! It is marvelous that you bros finally are going on your tour as well. Take good care of yourselves, keep safe sound and happy 😊 ⚡💖⚡💖
The perfect Sunday. No work,no intrusive phone calls and the only mail is Ron reading lyrics. Thank you Ron and Russell for keeping me happy and sane in this world🙂☮️ Also, here's to hoping your North American tour next year hits the NY/NJ area🤞🤞🤞a new album on the way? Life is good
After so many exciting years with the Sparks, there is still one of my greatest wishes unfulfilled: I'd like to hear Ron Mael sing. He's got a deep, pleasant voice when speaking and his musical talent is outstanding, so I guess he also can sing very well. He probably only remained "silent" in order to fulfil the role of his stage persona and did not want to distract attention from Russell (who is and has ever been one of the best singers in rock/pop business, I think). Please, dear Ron, surprise the Sparks fans once again. For once, let us hear you sing. Will be great, I predict. Love & peace from Germany, Anna
Thanks so much for doing these Ron - my Sunday evenings won’t be the same without my moment of Sparksworld... But really looking forward to the film when it’s released in Europe, and to spending our holiday following you around Scandinavia next year!
Thank you so much for these Ron, I'll miss them! But of course it turned out to be full of good news too. (If you decide to tour all 7 continents I'm sure you'll find some appreciative penguins.)
Oh, no! 😳😢 This wasn't really what I meant with anniversary and celebration... 😞 Thank you Ron from the deepest of my heart for this year. It has been so interesting to listen to your reading and discover new angles of the lyrics. I (we, I guess!) look forward to see you guys, too! I can't wait!!! "SPARKS, worth waiting for"* Of course you should use your time on the new album! And movie, you said 😃!? 👍 Good luck! See you next year, Stockholm and Copenhagen! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 * A travesty on an old ad for a Danish beer😇 But, no I don't drink beer.
This was a tad sad indeed, but my, I am very exited to hear about a new Sparks album! And yeah I think I heard him mention movies... 😮 It's fantastic to have the brothers going strong, and finally be going on their World tour... -You already have your tickets, haven't you 😄 If I'm lucky I might get to see them in North America, my boyfriend lives there and that is where I'm heading to live when it gets safer to travell. I will miss these tranquil nourishing Sparksy Sunday moments, tho .
@@camelsheit_on_the_walls446 I have had my tickets since within 30 minutes after the pre-release opened 😂🥰💖! Only disappointment that the Stockholm gig will be at Annexet, not Cirkus as first anounced. The latter is an old circus and theater, beautiful, wonderful atmosphere, very good sound, and I had perfect seats. I guess that we still have OK seats, but not comparable, and Annexet is everything BUT beautiful with atmosphere. 🙄 Anyway, "It's a Sparks show, a Sparks show, a Sparks show"✨🥰💖💖💖 Still terrific seats in Copenhagen, DR Koncerthuset 😊😍💖💖💖 Happy to hear that you hopefully will have a chance to see these amazing guys live! 💗 Jag håller tummarna!!!
Hallo!
"Antarctic people we'll get to you soon!" x-D Well, lucky them; I don't believe you're coming to Argentina any day soon, are you? Thanks a million, Maels!!! Sparks definitely brightens up our lives. I can't wait for the next album!
You guys are nuts, love ya. I met Todd R. In Richmond theater and he mentioned you guys, I never heard of you before that. So don't feel bad, I wasn't a Todd fan boy either until later, after my tours with Leon Russell and Atlanta rhythm section, Bruce Hampton and everyone in the southern jam band scene, when black Crows was blowing up I was there during all that playing in all the incarnations of jams of some of the best musicians of that time and area
Please post the instrumental version without voice / speech of "My Baby's Taking Me Home"! I would like to listen to the melody that starts at 2:47 from your official video.
A great concept and a smart way to tie it off. I just wish I could read more of the book titles behind. Who on earth is Veronica? Concerts, a biographical film and now talk of a new album. Ron I've never been high either but am pretty close at the moment!

It's sad to hear that it's the final episode I've really enjoyed them. But I guess it means we're getting closer to seeing sparks live. 😊
I'm sad to hear that this is the final installment of 'Lyrically Speaking;' I enjoyed it so much. Thank you, Ron.
52weeks! It has been great. Gratitude.
Thank you Ron for a full year of work that a lot of us have really enjoyed. Looking forward to the new album (and seeing the documentary!)
He reads it like a bedtime story. I love it.

Thank you Ron for cheering me up every week for a year now. I've loved Lyrically Speaking and I'm looking forward to the new album.
Falling falling in love with the Sparks again (after falling in love from the first sight for the first time in 1975:)
Please come to Moscow in 2022!
That would be lovely. Being in Belarus, I'm not at all sure that traveling to EU will be accesible by the time of the tour. 😕
