09:22 This is the first achievement you can unlock and it's an easy one. Simply kick the ball from the bedroom into the study.
23:18 The game is full of nice vistas, but this first look on the village, the castle in the distance and all the other places we are going to visit throughout the game, is one of my favorites.
25:19 There is an achievement for opening all 10 outhouses in the village appropriately named "When You Gotta Go..." You will want to open them anyway, as most outhouses contain useful items.
29:12 Most of the breakable crates, vases, barrels, etc., have randomized loot. However some always drop the same thing - this first crate always drops First Aid Med.
32:48 There is no point fighting the Lycan here, considering you only have the weak pistol at this point and the first 2 Lycans you encounter actually have more hitpoints (1000HP) than all the other regular Lycans (700HP.) Simply run past him into the house as I did and once you pick up Bolt Cutters he's going to run away.
35:45 Alright, the second Lycan also has a bigger health pool, as I mentioned above, and this time you're forced to fight. If you use the same strategy as I did, it shouldn't be too hard. Simply let him run towards you and just as he's about to grab you turn around and take a step back. You will have time to take 2 pistol shots before he attempts to grab you again. Rinse and repeat. I'm going to state the obvious, but be sure to aim for the head, as Lycans take more than double bonus damage there. Even if you hit the head with every shot, you will still need 21 shots to take him down. Village of Shadows in a nutshell. I needed 22 pistol shots, so one of them counted as a body shot.
37:56 During the big ambush your only goal is to survive for 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Few things to note:
◘ When you block the door by moving the cabinets (38:52) the enemies will start damaging them. A pistol shot will stop them from attacking for a few moments, giving you more time before they break through.
◘ Take advantage of the flour bags (39:58), smashing the bags will stun all nearby enemies.
◘ There are certain spots where the cutscene that is supposed to end this ambush never triggers. If you survived for long enough and the cutscene still doesn't start, try changing your location.
◘ There is also an achievement for killing the giant during the ambush, but that's literally impossible on VoS/New Game. I recommend attempting this on NG+.
◘ Be sure to pick up all the loot before leaving this area. After the cutscene with the old lady the area becomes unaccessible for a long time.
In order to make the video more dramatic I don't always use the optimal strategy. When I'm hiding in the house at 40:59 I could be knifing the Lycan by the window on my left to keep him from destroying the wooden planks and shooting any Lycans that try to break the cabinet blocking the entrance (usually the giant blocks the other enemies from damaging the cabinet, but not in this case.)
46:59 I recommend exploring this house only after you come back from Luiza's house, because at that point the Lycan inside the house will despawn. I decided to go there right away purely to have a little bit more action in the video.
47:44 Lei is a currency used to buy all kinds of weapon upgrades, weapons and weapon parts, additional ammo and more. There is alsoa silly achievement you can unlock - "Lucky Number 7" for having 777, 7777 or 77777 Lei in your possession. You can also attempt to complete the game without spending more than 10000 Lei for the "Frugal Father" achievement, but you don't want to try that on VoS difficulty.
48:30 You can get more Lei by shooting crows, so keep an eye for them. Normally when you shoot a crow, the other crows nearby will naturally fly away. However if you shoot from a larger distance, as I do here, the other crows don't react, making it easy to kill all the birds.
49:24 There are two achievements tied to these goats. You unlock the "Cynic" achievement for destroying one goat statuette and the "Heretic" achievement for destroying all 20 of them.
52:05 As in most other RE games, you use typewritters to save the game. However you don't need any Ink Ribbons to save even on the hardest difficulty this time. The game also autosaves fairly regularly.
52:48 Be sure to keep this mine in your pocket for later, it will come in handy for one tricky encounter in the Castle.
1:02:44 Don't waste any ammo here. You can't kill him.

I'll be honest here Ethan has probably in many ways has proven himself to really be the father of the year award in games during 2021 I mean literally dying twice in a row all for her and also actually killing the real monsters mentioned in that story in real life in the game's universe and also seemingly come back to life at the end of it all the man is literally the embodiment of Asura from Asura's Wrath and James Heller from Prototype 2 both fathers who couldn't die and shed the blood of many for their daughters

We return once more to Resident Evil. Creatures from a storybook and their minions seek to threaten the livelihoods of those that live in the village. I believe it's time that these creatures, the Bat Lord, the Dark Weaver, the Fish King, the Iron Steed and the witch that leads them all to suffer humiliation. This is going to be enjoyably fun.

Pato, your movies are much more than walkies, they are small masterpieces! I watch them like full-length productions. Normally, I would be scared as hell, but I know, Pato is playing, so let the opponents be afraid! :D

This was an amazing first episode Pato! Super cinematic! I love the little tradeoffs you made in the survival part to not go for the more optimal play but choose the more immersive one. This is the reason you are the number one walktrhough maker in my opinion, other than your godly gamer skills of course.
I was already thinking during this episode on how I would, if I had the time for it, take the entite finished project of RE8 that's you're working on, and condense it into a 3-4 hour movie. Which parts to trim or forego. What editing techniques to use. Where to edit out the sound for unspoiled ambience to get rid of the sfx.
Maybe in the future I'll approach you with a proposition like this. I'm already excited 😄

As for that movie thing, I was thinking about editing the walkthroughs into a game movie a few years back, but I had to shelf the idea after realizing it would require considerable amount of time to do it right. @@patologTV oh yeah, the time investment would be massive. I would need an entire vacation and a half of free time. The cool part is. I would mostly need to learn the program I would be using and the technical aspects. I feel like I'm already very good at recognizing logical flow and conceptual storyboarding. So from a technical standpoint: much to learn, but from an artistic standpoint: I'm ready to go.
Maybe we could even bundle our powers and do it together. Your technical knowledge and my knowledge of logical flow. We could create a masterpiece I'm sure 😄

One of my favorite SNES games. Although I can never beat The Dark Demon without a full supply of Ginseng. I honestly envy anyone who can do a No Damage fight against that b🤬.
So I'm watching this game for the first time but I do know about the plot twist at the end of it. Still I think Ethan's reaction to pain is really off sometimes. For example are heavy injuries like getting half of you hand bitten off and being impale by a rusty fence pole hearable painful but "lighter" things like force-pushing a door open with his freshly wounded hand and ramming his bandaged wound against a window frame aren't even an issue ô.o
I think this game is pretty good but other things seem a bit off too. Like the perception of time after Ethan's awakening after the intro. It's pitch black in the forest but after like one or two minutes in the basement of that hut it's already pretty bright outside.
Also Elena's death. She just falls into the flames and doesn't make any noice. No screaming while burning to her death. Kinda weird.

Watching with a friend whose new to walkthroughs this time, and the friend whose also into photography just kept saying "the camera work..is amazing" "I love way this guy is angling those camera shots" constantly, deeply impressed with it. I'm so use to it that I may sometimes take it for granted just how much you put into the presentation here, so hearing someone else marvel about it was a great reminder for me. That all said, your perfect mate..but the openings too slow for my taste. RE7 you got to the good shit in like 5-8 minutes tops, here it takes close to 15. I think they could have cut some of that out, but eeehhh, still a really fun game, and we're past it now. So really hyped and looking forward to what comes next :D

Now, I think you ultimately mean No *Unavoidable* Damage. Because there are several times (mostly cutscenes) where Ethan *will* get hurt. Period.
But if you can actually avoid any other damage, then you have my compliments. I’ve only watched this game, and I can safely say that it’s NOT easy.

He plan to play one Resident Evil game a year. Since RE4 Remake got announced and will be release next year, he said he will play that it next year.
Also considering RE is almost have an annual release, it might be a while if you want him to play older RE games.

@@patologTV Oh? I would like you to buy the Deluxe Edition since it contain the Baker Incident Report which explain things in between RE7 and RE Village. But then, it's not really a big deal since there are also RUclips videos that cover about it and also can be search online. Keep in mind it sort of have spoiler which explain things regarding Chris Redfield and BSAA.

Yeah, of course, needed to practice quite a bit for this. The first half of the game on VoS is particularly difficult and frustrating at times, especially some fights in the castle.
I never understood why Ethan always gets his hand half chewed off or partially severed.
Please tell me that this walkthrough your gonna upload every single day just like you did with DOOM 3
In DOOM 3 case he did a pre record playthrough while doing the Control + Metro...since he played it long time ago I think he still know what to do in the game, that's why he can do daily upload of DOOM 3
