But then he asked the President to finance the renovation of the city with more fund needed than to build a brand new capital city .. So the President instructed to build a new capital city instead: Nusantara. And the new governor of Jakarta is now taking care of the water source (PAM) problem.

Well here's the problem Africa doesn't have been million dollars and I forget it's another $100 to pay either that means China's going to say I want no worry about it we'll just take the airbase back the train back also. So the people who don't see this or either stupid or they're on shine aside and he was ready to look at it it don't look good I would start praying a lot to Christ because it's coming to an end he's getting sick of it I've got more patience than 20 people were together and I'm getting sick of it

    "Nenek moyangku seorang pelaut
    Gemar mengarung luas samudra
    Menerjang ombak, tiada takut
    Menempuh badai, sudah biasa
    Angin bertiup, layar terkembang
    Ombak berdebur di tepi pantai
    Pemuda berani, bangkit sekarang
    Ke laut, kita beramai-ramai".
    3. Akademi Militer dari Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angakatan Laut atau TNI-AL, hingga saat ini masih menjaga budaya "nenek moyangku seorang pelaut yang ulung" dengan cara TNI-AL melakukan pelayaran ke penjuru dunia menggunakan Kapal Tradisional Khas Indonesia (KRI BIMA SUCI)
    - Orang Indonesia paling hebat dalam memancing ikan bahkan perusahaan kapal Jepang, Korea Selatan, Cina, banyak memperkerjakan orang Indonesia.

      The nice thing about high density city builds is more dense living is much more sustainable than American suburbs. Granted you do have to have walkability and public transit to make it more sustainable. American suburbs bankrupt their towns and cities and take a lot more resources to build equivalence housing to one skyscraper.

    • @corail53
      @corail53 9 месяцев назад +4

      @@lilimccoy6194 High density creates a lot of social issues, crime rates usually go up, stress goes up. Walkability means nothing - look at every super dense city in the world - they still end up sprawled out and have long train commutes. You aren't getting away from that. The other side of things especially in North america is people will scream and yell for Density but when it comes time for them to have a family these same people all end up moving to the suburbs for bigger places and thus driving the costs up and the people who have lived there for a long time get priced out and can barely handle their new property taxes.

      I agree the skyscraper city model is flawed. It does not make it notably cheaper to either live or work there. It's mostly status symbols for corporations, usually making business _and_ living more expensive.

    • @duckofdeath3266
      @duckofdeath3266 9 месяцев назад

      @@corail53 That isn't correct. Building too large social housing areas without proper planning does indeed create a risk for more crime. That is the fallacy you base your assumption on. The US model is generally to build low density housing around skyscraper city centres. Despite of this, the US severe crime rate is three times higher than the European average.

This will include a north-to-south commuter railway system, several Metro Railway Transits, and the first ever subway in the country -- The Metro Manila Subway, a 36-kilometer long underground mass transit traversing six Metro Manila cities. The whole problem with HS2 is that you are "Dammed If You Do & Dammed If You Don't" The trouble is that the West Coast Mainline is at maximum capacity
      So something had to be done to increase capacity.
      Also, work on HS2 has now gone beyond the point of abandonment.
      So the Government (regardless of its colour )has no option but to finish the project.
      To be fair, it made sense to begin HS2 as Crossrail/The Elizabeth Line was approaching completion. As the infrastructure development teams were already assembled

      Not gonna lie the British government should have just outsourced rather than trying to do such a project they they never did before.
      I doubt they would buy TVG from France or German counterparts because of ‘British pride’ so at least they should have went to japan for some help, they are the pioneer of high speed trains after all.
      Japan is currently building a 600km/h train for about 50 billion USD or less, quite the deal I’d say. They built their bullet train with about the same distance as HS2 would only 27 billion USD… oh and that runs about 100km faster than what the HS2 is planned to go.

    • @nicholaskelly1958
      @nicholaskelly1958 Год назад +2

      So very true. The UK government would not go to the French etc etc. It would be a British built project or nothing!
      This thinking isn't new. British railway companies, prior to 1948, rarely purchased locomotives and rolling stock from foreign builders.
      Also, in the early years of British Railways in the 1950s & early 1960s when it would have made some sense to purchase American or German diesel locomotives. Due to both economic and political constraints and considerations, this wasn't done. The result was that there were several types of locomotives which were for various reasons not particularly good But at least they were British!

    • @aswinadapa6797

      HS2 is not going to change anything in the way England works. The cost of the ticket is going to be unreasonable after such an expensive project and the time it saves travelling through HS2 rather than the current railway is not that great. So people would continue using the regular rail instead of spending on HS2. On top of it.. HS2 is being built now with hope that it would last for the next 100 years.. atleast they should have used the fastest trains of the day…it’s already slower than the new trains that other countries are building and is nowhere close to Hyperloop. So by the time they finish constructing it, it’s already outdated tech with not so great speeds.

      India and China is huge countries with limited media exposure in western countries regarding their domestic development. We are simply clueless about how much is happening there and how fast.

    Manila is doing a new airport to the north of Manila that may host a hair over 100 million people like the other airports mentioned in here? I think they are building the airport above the sea so it is an ambitious project. Their current airport was built by the U.S. government I think meaning it is pretty old (though it does not seem too old to someone passing through).
    Manila also is building or adding to their railway system around their city -- you can get to most of Manila using the LRT or MRT along with walking (or using Jeepneys).
    The only time I struggled to get somewhere was going to the American memorial and the Venice Canal Mall which I ALMOST gave up on doing but persisted in doing. (There were a few people who told me Jeepneys did not go from the Greenbelt Mall to the American memorial plus it was raining heavy -- I had to wait a bit for a Jeepney to finally come and the driver told me I would have to change Jeepneys at a transit point. Fortunately the rain stopped by the time I saw how the memorial is a very profound, humbling experience.
    I am not too crazy about the Jeepneys, probably because I cannot hear, I am not used to them and I had to rely on my phone to get by with but they seem extremely essential to people in Manila -- the government there wants them replaced which makes for big questionmarks. The Jeepneys in themselves are very cool.

    i think the ITER reactor is the most important construction this whole decade

    • @Cdr_Mansfield_Cumming
      @Cdr_Mansfield_Cumming Год назад +1

      In history. The US, UK and China are doing the groundwork on individual but different parts to see where they can make breakthroughs. These applications will then be tested in ITER on a large scale. If they work, it opens the way to small fission reactors in every town and city providing safe, cheap energy. The 40 nations bankrolling this for the benefit of humanity should be thanked.

      @@Cdr_Mansfield_Cumming it's really interesting...I have toured NIF at Livermore national labs (where the research is being done in California). Fun fact they used NIF in one of the new Star Trek movies as their engineering.
