The goldfinch is the engine for both chicks and the tree because when it lands on the tree, the tree becomes noise full, etc. It becomes lively with the chirps and when the goldfinch leaves the tree , the area becomes silent and there is no movement in the tree

The poem goes in a cyclic pattern. For example, the stillness and tranquility of the Laburnum tree is disturbed by the goldfinch which makes it lively and it becomes still again after the departure of the goldfinch. Does the cyclic pattern exist in our lives as well? What should we learn from it?
