    Latin is the language of The Church and it's the Sacred language of Christianity along with Hebrew and Greek because they were on the Cross. I love the way Fr. Chad Ripperger said it, they are affixed to our salvation.

    A very well-structured and professional presentation, especially when compared with other Mark's gospel presentations done by our evangelical brothers available on RUclips.

    Wonderful class and I hope you can cover all the books of the Bible so that I don't have to revert to other sources like the Bible project when there is such good material out there.

    9:30 possibly marks gospel originated as an oral gospel so it was preached with a teacher who would teach using the story. Mathew then added teachings in the written form

    Mark was an eye witness when Jesus was arrested in the garden. Mark managed to escape when the guards were trying to arrest the disciples.

    How likely do you think it is that Mark was the boy who lost his coat in Mk 14:51-52?

    • @joegrech6433
      @joegrech6433 3 месяца назад

      I think yes, because he refers to this person as 'young man'. We also see young man referred to the angel in the tomb. I read somewhere that this represents a transformation we are called to. No longer scared to follow Jesus and no longer one who ran away and watched at a distance, but one who has become transformed by the resurrection experience and is now one who is called out to be disciples of all nations.
      I think its Mark ;)

    Love it, but I don't believe Papias on Mark and St. Peter. I agree with Eusebius on Papias' intellect and reliability.
    Mark's gospel seems much more Pauline, and it would make sense why the 12 Apostles are shown as more foolish than in the other gospels. The point being that they didn't 'get' it, but St. Paul does. There's many other reasons to believe it was more influenced by St. Paul and without St. Peter's influence at all.
