Bad Boy Mowers just needs to put the adjustable control on all of the mowers. They make such a nice mower, but without that adjustability after spending that much (2023 prices) that’s a hard pill to swallow. 6k for the ZT Elite Special Edition, then need to buy $150+ for the controls? Bad boy didn’t take much consideration into the Special Edition having the same control arms as the ZT Elite, but raising the seat height almost 2 inches. I hope to see adjustable arms stock on future models.
I just bought a zt elite limited and having the exact same problem. Seems the only solution is to spend almost 200 on the adjustable arms that have horrible reviews. Pretty disappointing
I'm 5'7" ...overweight and legs aren't as long as many 6feet guys.Raising that deck and lowering with your foot and leg is hard on an older guy. What happened to a simple lever like Toro had?
When cutting a yard I stop mowing like to go to the restroom get back on my mower and it won’t move on the right wheel the left will but after trying a couple of times it wil start again . is that the pressure pump that’s not working
My 54 mz magnum leaves a strip of uncut grass yes it’s at full throttle tires are same pressure deck is level blades are good and I can go slow as possible it still leaves it how to fix that
I had the same issue. Checked everything you mentioned. I finally got under mine and cleaned (really scraped) all the caked on crud under the deck around each blade. Some areas were hard to reach. It was up on ramps, still couldn't reach way back under where the middle blade rotates. It definitely helped. No longer left a race track. Now I need to change both wheel filters, add new oil as the right side is binding (I'd gotten it stuck, then let it set out there until the ground dried a bit. That shouldn't have messed it up but ...🙄
My deck stopped engaging. Everything electrical I have jumpers out (seat and arms) I changed the clutch and relays but nothing helped so I worked a switch straight from the battery. So far so good
@FITNESSOVER45 I took mine to rural king which fixed it pretty cheap. I must have missed it but they said a wire (I think starter or clutch) that was chewed in two. I would check the wiring with a fine tooth comb.
At the beginning of your video, you said if we don’t have adjustable handles, we can quickly upgrade. Can you please give a part number for that upgrade? I can’t find any info on it any where. Thanks.
How do you adjust the handles on a magnum? Every time I pull back on the bars to reverse they don’t go all the way back they hit me in the stomach. I have the seat adjusted all the way back. They need to be set forward a bit but I don’t see an adjustment
I have a Bad Boy 54" Magnum. I have a message saying cln air flter. I have cleaned it. The paper looks new, the foam filter was a bit dirty. I took the foam off, blew it out, replaced it and I still get this message even after many hours of mowing? How do you reset it?
thats because there is not a soft start PTO, however there could also be other loose components that are causing shaking to occur. Call this number and talk with our parts department, they should be able to tell you if anything abnormal is occuring. (405)604-5454
@@toxictophat711 it was a bent bar that goes from the deck lift and the steering bar. it was rubbing and making it catch where it would cause it to jerk.
I just got the Bad Boy MZ Magnum 54". The arm rests/controls aren't adjustable. Is there an upgrade for adjustable ones? I have to push way forward, extreme full extension of my arms and even lean forward a little to get it to go full speed or even a decent mowing speed. My Husqvarna zero turn has much less movement length, the Bad Boy is significantly different.
Hi , I have the type of bad boy that has an electronically mower deck. I was told at tractor supply where I bought it not to raise or lower the deck when cutting. I am supposed to disengage blades then lower. Is that necessary?

make sure the parking break is engaged, make sure your arm controls are in the fully locked position, also make sure your seat sensor is still plugged in (( flip up the seat and their is a wire )) if this still doesn't work it could be something with the battery, visit your badboy dealer if you continue to have problems. or give our team a call for questions. 405-604-5454
I think bad boy should have left the deck left on the lawn mowers..... I have a 2017 maverick and it comes standard. I bought a 2020 rogue and now I am having to add a deck left ....

BAD BOYZ......very poor 'ergonomics' in the total design. John Deere, got them all beat, with deck lift, operator ergonomics, and overall '' tip '' ability. Bad Boyz, are keeping with their name. The twin cylinder, John Deere tractor, water cooled, v OHC twin, hydrostatic drive, hydrualic lift deck, GOT THEM ALL BEAT. Very short turn radius, too.

I get what you are trying to explain but it is NOT a foot rest. It is a deck adjustment pedal.

It is hard for me to raise the deck on the rogue with me being disabled. My back and legs are not strong enough to do this

Bad Boy part # 031-9060-00. Bought a pair myself for my ZT Elite. Installing them today and we will see if they work as well as I think they will.

You have to have the adjustable bars addition, get it at a bad boy mowers dealer bud!
you can buy adjustable handles for the magnum, they do not come standard though

Sounds like you got something lose I broke a few motor mount and had similar happen id check to see if anything moves when you pop on the PTO

As a 6’4” guy this fix is still not sufficient. Besides even in your video you bring your leg far more than is comfortable while cutting grass.
Those levers are way too forward. Very uncomfortable
