I know I’m in the minority on this one but I honestly don’t mind the use of AI art, especially when it produces something surreal or is evocative of an aesthetic/atmosphere I’ve never seen expressed before, much like Blume’s mixes. That said, no, I don’t think it’s “better” than human-made art, but I also don’t think it’s inherently “worse” just because it was made by a machine. It’s just different…and there’s no reason it can’t have a place in niche media (like here, where it’s just being used as simple background art to match the feel of the music I’m hearing). But hey, maybe you feel strongly against it, and that’s fair. I’m just not going to force myself to feel something or share in an opinion that I don’t. I’m just interested in seeing things I’ve never seen before and, for me, AI often delivers exactly that.
