@@Makaidonas They stole nothing, they have a right to them just like you do because they are a mixed race just like you are and all of Balkans as well. Turks is just their current name just like your current name is Greeks but since the Hellenic times populations have moved and mingled. in 1980s Greece had over 600 villages that spoke Albanian/Arvanites as a first language and Izmir and the whole of western Turkey has a large population of Arnauts/Arvanites descent as well, just like in Albania there still are villages that speak Greek as a first language. Just because of the population exchanges after WWI do not think that there are no more Greeks in Turkey because only the Christian Greeks were moved the Greeks who had converted to Islam remained in Turkey. You yourself go get a DNA test and you will discover that only about 20% of your genetic make up is of the ancient Hellenes the other % is most likely Illyrian, Slavic, Roman, Levantine, Egyptian, Persian, Turkish, Arabic etc. etc.

It is indeed very interesting! The Greek dances is a very old tradition, being referred to by authors such as Plato, Aristotle, Plutarch and Lucian. From the Bronze Age aka Minoan civilization, the most famous type of dances were the circular ones (same as today) and they were performed either by men or women. The only difference now to this is that it can be mixed by both men and women. Moving to Archaic and Classical period, the dance "Syrtos", for instance, was the most famous one and it was described by Lucian around AD 125-190... still danced today! Or when it comes to the Greek war dances, such as the Pyrrhichios dance, it was probably of Dorian origin and it was described by Plato as imitating by quick movements the ways in which blows and darts are to be avoided and also the modes in which an enemy is to be attacked. This dance was also described as a dance to be specifically from the city of Trapezus (modern day Trabzon, in Turkey) by Xenophon in his work "Anabasis" (370 BC). Pontic Greeks, mostly, still dance this dance. Last, I should mention Achilles since he danced the Pyrrhichios dance around the burning funeral of Patroclus during the Trojan War. :)
