@@phillythekid6794 if u have Msi afterburner installed open it and click the reset button on the bottom and then restart. Make sure to disable any other over clocks you may have as well.

lollySTW it does, for me only half the screen was covered, and the part that wasn’t was a pixel mess. And even the part you can see was all static-y and I couldn’t read anything, meaning I couldn’t undo it since I couldn’t type or read the numbers, but I restarted 2 times and it went away

If you got black screen just hold your pc power button for 10 seconds and then it will completely shut down and the turn it on again and wait until its on.

change your gpu scaling option
Go to nv control panel, go to adjust desktop size and position, and then change it from no scaling to aspect ratio,

I’ve tried this once before got a black screen of death, I watched a vid saying that I have to disable g sync and what not I’m using viewsonic xg270qg
note* If your black screened you gotta make sure you use the right amount of frames as your monitor. So if you have a 60z monitor you gotta make sure you apply 60 hz in the final phase.
When I select my res in "list all modes" that u did at 3:50 half of my screen is all jittery and blurry and the other half is perfectly fine. Any idea how to fix?

Ok so, it worked. I followed all the steps and did everytrhing perfectly. When i clicked restart 64, my monitor went black and nothing was happening. I waited about 20 seconds and then it went back to normal. I've got stretched resolution on my fortnite and my whole monitor in general. Thats the only issue. My monitor looks like a rat desease now because everything is stretched resolution when I just wanted it to be fortnite...

Could someone help me? I get blackbars in fortnite whenever i try a stretch res. I tried 4 months ago with a old monitor 165hz and now i bought a 240hz and i still get blackbars. it does that when you put the wrong refresh rate.. as example of o have a 60hz monitor and put in the CRU 240 or 144 or anything above 60 it wont work :/ hope i helped you

Try putting your game on windowed fullscreen in settings instead of just the normal fullscreen
On Nvidia setting in adjust scale and position make out it on full screen.

Then you press restart 64.exe and u will be back on native
Your refresh rate will go to 60 so if u have a higher one make sure to change that again

Big issue, so I got the black screen but I did literally every possible method of booting into safe mode and every time my screen stayed black, I cannot access safe mode. I even tried a computer repair and it said it could not self repair, do I have to factory reset my pc?
