I love how Alien Valky just _shows up_ after the kaiju did a little spin. Truly an alien of action. Also _man_ , Kotaro is a real _beast_ even when he's just a human XD
The connection of Kotaro and Taro is so mysterious. If you ignore the context given by later works one could assume Taro was born/created when Mother of Ultra healed Kotaro. During the season Kotaro acts like he is Taro himself, referring to other Ultramen as mother, father and brother. Now in the final episode it's not Kotaro saying goodbye to Taro, but him returning the Badge to the Mother and loosing the powers gained in episode 1. Right next is Ultraman Leo where Ultraman Taro doesn't appear like he doesn't exist anymore. It's Ultraman Story 10 years later and the other movies around that time which reintroduce Ultraman Taro with his own origin story.
Thinks were _weird_ before they ironed out the overall metaplot. I'm not sure the writers where entirely sure abot the whole Kotaro/Taro connection when the series started
Now I understand why Mr. Saburo Shinoda always refused to replay his role as Kotaro Higashi afterwards. It's because Higashi's story ended and was completed here, as he decided to live with his own strength, without depending on Taro's and so they broke up. But Taro would return to Earth is his own human form at the Magical Girl tokusatsu series Comet-san. He would be Comet-san's former boyfriend and at the end of the episode, it was clear they were still in love with each other. Even though the episode is not part of the oficial chronology, many fans especulate about the identity of Taiga's mother.

I love they actually awknowledged Aragaki.

I want to point something about this final episode of Taro. The reason Kotaro throw the Ultra Badge to Mother of Ultra is he returning Taro to her. Which means the badge is Taro himself. Kotaro uses it to transform to Ultraman Taro. That's the most logical thing. As a human host, they can still do Ultra ability likes possess other humans and many more. The reason why Kotaro call mother of Ultra as mom and Father of Ultra as dad is because Kotaro become Taro and sharing the consciousness.Even when he gave the badge to mother of Ultra, He still remember her and still call her mom because her face is same as her late mother. That's my opinion about this
Mebius doesn't have a human host though. I think you refer to the actors? Igarashi seems to be willing to do Mebius again if he gets a chance since he even did a fandub of a scene of UGF (the one bit where Mebius is talking with Taiga)
