  • Founder and Principal of the English Gardening School, Rosemary Alexander has brought all her experience and skills as a plantswoman to the creation of her garden in the West Sussex countryside. The result is a rich tapestry of design and planting which belies the overall size of one acre. Rosemary introduces us to her garden.

What makes this garden so special is the way it complements the beautiful brick house with its green-framed windows and lovely roofline. And the wisteria, which is a much maligned plant due to its tendency to take over a space, is just perfect against the bricks as it grows in a controlled manner. So well done.

Just magnificent. I too, thought the mirror was a window. It was so nice to find this video on a cold and windy day in Canada.

Your garden is almost as beautiful as you are! Excellent filming. The Euphorbia caracias wulfenii is just spectacular.

Love this plantswoman and this gorgeous garden. But I do have hearing problems. I' m glad to not be the only one that can't hear.

What is the slug deterrent (3:46)? Hard to hear what she says but I would like to try this.

I think the lady says “strulch” which is straw mulch with slug and snail deterrent... you can find it online... hope that helps
