Eeeeek! I will have to do this with my Brother SE400. Today, the spool pin snapped when I grabbed the handle to move the machine. I think there may be a design flaw, as it should not break that easily. The process looks daunting. Thank you for this tutorial. I don't like the idea of taking my machine apart, but better than buying a new machine. lol
