It’s been 3 years since this song introduced me to weezer island in the sun will forever be my favourite song so I decided to come back to where it all started, I was going to see weezer in august but it was cancelled, island in the sun helped me through many tough times. personally I don’t think the chorus should say “on a planet called Naboo” when it ends with “I can’t stand all this sand.” Naboo doesn’t have sand. They could’ve still had clips from the Naboo parts but it seemingly would make more sense to have the lyrics reference Tatooine. The original chorus even starts with “on an Island in the Sun” so they could’ve started the chorus “on a planet with two suns.”
