Looked real good. I'm running the larger 4.72" Landmines on mine and like them a lot. I like the look of the 4.19" though. I'm still running stock shocks, but I have 80wt fluid in them because I heard Josh and Matt talk about running that thick of fluid in theirs and I've really liked how they handle.
I have a Gatekeeper with the Element shocks and have had zero complaints about the stock ones. Really nice and smooth! This makes me want to do ANOTHER VANQUISH BUILD, DAMMIT!
I'm starting to understand the cult following behind this rig... The thing is just outstanding! Bang for buck, and considering that right out of the box (excluding tires) the VS4PRO is a terrific performer, the value is more than justified. On your first outing we all came a little disappointed...few simple easy affordable tweaks later, and it is running beautifully! I had my doubts, now I'm seriously considering ordering one... Thank you!
Doesn't perform any better, actually less as well, then a trx4 sport with a few tweaks such as changing the bumpers. I have expected to see the price of these drop but they haven't. Really a very over priced rig, imo.
@@thomasgross8289, I have a TRX4 SPORT as well, with some basic mods (tks for this channel). Although it is a awesome performer out of the box, if you want to get it to perform better, you have to go big on aftermarket parts...and if you add all thr bits and pieces, I think you get a more expensive rig than a VS4PRO. Just basic maths tells you that. Try adding metal axles (front and rear), some brass weights to counter balance the high CG, swapping servo, esc, and other bits and bobs... you get the ideia, right? Sure it is an awesome platform and the number 1 player for some years now (in trail crawling) I also think that it is a "beginner" rig. And as soon as you get hooked on it, you just want to upgrade it, right? In my case, that was what made me subscribe to this channel. The tips on the TRX4 were awesome. As far as the VS4PRO goes, it is aimed at a totally different RCer... Like comparing a GSHOCK with a Rolex. One is an unburstable plastic brute timepiece, the other a phenomenal timekeeping jewel. Same purpose, different outcomes.
I like the trx4 and it’s awesome but this is different and there really aren’t any “mods” needed other than the obvious. Most all of my trucks are $1k+ and this one already is. I’ll get the actual tires and wheels ordered soon.
Solid crawl Brother!👍🏽 Suspension articulation looked on point too. I really wanted my Incision shocks to work out. They are beautiful scale-looking shocks and perform great. I was just sick of cleaning shock oil off my axles all the time. I rebuilt mine 3 times with green slime until I finally gave up on them. That’s my only gripe with this kit. With this kit’s price-point, Vanquish really should’ve addressed it early on.
Those shocks n tires made a huge difference. Ive not had a chance to use the element shocks, but have heard alot of good about them. I run the trx4 shocks on both of my vs4 rigs n they do great
it's much better than the first try. despite a construction to have the low center of gravity, its stability is exceptional. the result of your transformation will be exceptional
I put these team associated shocks The bronze one too on my umg 10 ll and the reaction time I get is fantastic I’m running 35w today our temperatures are still in the 70s and cold it night I have noticed in mid Summer I’m probably run a little bit thicker oil
I really like the Vanquish rigs. You would think that with all the money I have invested in my Element rigs, that I could afford to get one but it's amazing, I never seem to be able to. Love the fact that they come with aluminum axle housings from the factory. in only my opinion, alot of aluminum is better than a little bit of brass. It may be the aluminum axles ad a more equal amount of weight to the front and rear of the vehicle. I think it's nuts that no-one has come out with any metal axles for the Element yet. See what Vitavon can do for all the Element guys Joe. I know that they would be a great seller. I know that Curries will go on, but I'd like an option that's Element specific.
Are you running stock gray springs on the Element shocks? If you need to plant the rear a little better try the green springs. This was my experience with my Enduro
Holy crap those improvements made a huge difference on the last run!! Gotta ditch the electronics layout. If your not going to run a winch that’s a great spot for the receiver then the battery on the side or combo esc rx same side. Fish’s Crawler Parts makes a “flat” skid and it made a huge difference getting the belly out of the way especially with 4.19s.
A number of folks seem to have leaks... I feel that its in the filling, assembly and weight oil that is used. They are a smaller bore size for a more scale appearance, so require a heavier weight fluid for this truck. I assembled mine with 70w and green slime on o'rings and cartridge and they have been faultless for me. I did cut the diaphragm bubble out of the centre of top seal as a personal choice and easier bleeding. Cheers mate👍
@@cl-audio322 I've got a gatekeeper kit and absolutely the Element shocks are nice, silky smooth, but being larger diameter I don't think the best fit for the vanquish shock towers. Considering I'm happy with incision one's, that's what I'll continue to use. I would think the trx4 and Element shocks would be the best mainstream 90mm OEM shocks available. Cheers
Not starting my VS4-10 Ultra build until mid June, just picked up the pro-spec shock, for the Dual rate spring action. I have just about everything ready for the build just a couple of pieces in the wind. GrimJerr on Instagram also, I Have a Showcase of this Summers scheduled builds posted. 5/16/2021
Well I heard so many comments about leaky shocks. I somehow lost a diaphragm out of one of them. I was going to put 90wt in but ended up with these shocks since I had them
Honestly I think it’s to bad, that you didn’t give the stock shocks with 80wt a chance, like every one says. You would have saved your self time and you wouldn’t have to trim the truck..
That's a Sharp Looking VS4 💯 LOL 😂👉Not a Jumper??? Seemed to Work Good in the Natural Challenges of Stone Mountain 👍😎👍 AOAH ✌️🤠👍 HFLPRCing 🌟 RCF4L 🙏 Stay Safe and Play Healthy Brother Joe
I've got a question. How many views do you need for RUclips to start paying you. I've wondered that for a long time. And I still dont know. Btw Awesome truck man!!
Yes lol not made for jumps obviously you know that Joe but my goodness at the times a Newb broke his Portals parts etc & he's all mad!! if I've said once I've said it 100 times these are not designed for jumping, they crawl & very slowly at that, they have axles not independent suspension lol... a little jump once in awhile ok but there not made for that abuse... Great vid as always

Man we gotta get a walk around of how you built your course! I need some inspiration! Always amazes me how awesome your course looks

Harley Designs always recommends like 80wt oil in the incision shocks. But element shocks are awesome.
that is how I built my last one and it works pretty damn good. The torque twist and bump steer are still off the charts

Almost!😉☕👍🏗️ It's getting better.
Getting there... gotta dial that thing in. Can't wait to see more :)
Howdy buddy! I swear you own a rc shop. Great video!!!
Awesome upgrade for the VS-410 bro. Handled the rocks pretty darn good! M.I.D.W.I.D!
That was an awesome run cant wait to see how you tune it

Wassup rc fans ! Glad your back to the vs410 Joe. Im currently building a gspeed custom from my ultra. Gonna be collecting parts for a few 😁
Some of my favorite shocks . Always done me well
I had to do the same trimming in order to install the proline big bore scaler shocks on my vs410 chassis kit

I run 100 wt oil o. The shocks. Ihave all my pros with vanquish sway bars. It works awesome.
Great video. Performance improvements going good.
I run 90wt in my vs410 shocks and 4.7 km3 crawlers.truck climbs awesome
I wish they would make a 2.2 landmine.
Nitpicky police, coming in hot! (and late)... It is damping, not dampening.
Nice rims.

Found the tire size, real good Joe. Performance was great, your a good driver Joe or an awesome editor lol. The white looks good on her
Looks like I need those tires for my Pro. I do love the Enduro shocks, but currently 'am running the Traxxas GTS shocks on my Pro.
Looking good👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Are you running stock gray springs on the Element shocks? If you need to plant the rear a little better try the green springs. This was my experience with my Enduro
Thank goodness those wheels are not staying on there!!
😂😂 I’ll have some shiny ones soon.
Awesome run. Love them vs410 rigs. Wandering what the weight of your rig is? For a class 1 that truck seems planted.
I need to weigh it. Oddly enough I haven’t weighed it at all.
you should try double foam with the trenchers and do everyone's favorite TRX4 shocks
Very nice rig 👍

Just curious if you've tried the Traxxas GTS shocks...and, of so, how do they compare to the Element Enduro shocks.
Looks like tires and shocks r helping
Cool
What's wrong with the stock Incision shocks? Sorry if you mentioned this in another video.

Any specific reason you're using aeration dampers instead of bladder/diaphragm dampers?
It’s what I had, now these would run well either way but they didn’t come with diaphragms.
Are enduro shocks really the best? Better than scx10.3 shocks? Better than vanquish shocks? Why?
Well I heard so many comments about leaky shocks. I somehow lost a diaphragm out of one of them. I was going to put 90wt in but ended up with these shocks since I had them
Cant remember, VS have portals?
Pro is straight axels
Ultra is portals
Ahhh, thank you
I think the vs410 chassis kit is better than the vs410 pro... main result is you get too put you own parts from an scx10ii... everything bolt right up
Vanquish shocks need min 60wt oil. I run 80wt in mine.
I forget, have you weighed this rig yet? I think its a little chunkier than most of your other builds.

1000 subs and 4000hrs view time in a year.

I think Josh at vanquish runs 80 or 90 wt in his VS4-10's
rear sway bar will cost you articulation tho
Always "get into position " to do the nasty

Yeah but if they can’t handle at least a little air they aren’t strong enough.
Im sorry I don't like those wheels at all, tell Josh to hook you up with a set of vp wheels
I don’t have any contacts with Vanquish yet.
