His friend said that she made delicious meals. He saw how creative of a builder she is. That's the wife he wants. He saw her dirty the first day and he wanted to change her life. He has been good to her eversince then, the only mishap so far, is describing her as "the Maid" to his parents. So he is forgiven for that one mishap as long as he remains true to his heart feelings.

Arranged marriages still happen in many countries that are trying to be more modern. Face it, even in USA very rich people still only associate with very rich people. They don't realize "gold-diggers" exist among the rich families too. And attitudes are taught in rich families, too. The children love the people who actually raised them=the nanny, babysitter, the maid, but are told that is not "real" love. The cold distant love of the parents is how they view real love by the gifts the parents give each other, not the loving looks and hugs, and touches.

I've been reading everyone's comments. He just got rid of a girl like the one his mother brought home... He can see that they are trouble. But the son is living with Dad/ Mom... so either he move out and get his own place, so he can live his life the way he wants or stay with Dad/ Mom and allow them to dictate what he does, who he sees, dates etc...
