- Car did great at this event. Sadly they didn't give out time slips but i was able to see what the car was trapping on an app. At 20psi car was trapping a constant 136mph, at 28psi car was doing just over 140mph but the car was having a hard time hooking in 2nd gear. Thanks for watching

Anytime my n54 is giving me a headache on an install I always come to one of these videos and it gives me motivation to keep going lol.

my friend gave me a parts car and let me keep his motor im currently removing the exhaust and its been a pain in the ass its a vrsf exhaust and i cannot seem to remove the bolt that is in between the down pipe towards the right 🫤
@@brxezo hey man hopefully I can help you out. I am currently doing a motor swap on my N54. I am on the tail and almost finished, but my downpipe to exhaust bolts were in terrible shape. Mine were very rusted in the person who had my car beforehand put on both that weren't for down pipes, and they partially melted which made the job hell. Here's what you can do but you may need a buddy to help. Don't be afraid to put some force on the downpipe in order to get pliers onto the other side of the exhaust bolts get it clamped on there. Nice and tight. It definitely helps to have a size smaller deep socket in order to hammer onto the washer on the other side. With the intention to break it because that there's no saving these, you will need new bolts. You may get lucky and some unscrew. But there is a high probability that they are going to break on the downpipe side. This doesn't matter if your intentions are to replace the downpipes. if you were to reuse them, all you would have to do is Take a hammer and beat the hell out of it until it comes out since it's not screwed in. ( i used text to speech since im driving so sorry if some words are screwed up)

Had a e92 n54 FBO before, got brake checked and the car got totalled, watching these videos make me miss mine so badly, idc what happens, I swear I am building another one in my lifetime because I need to experience this again. Especially a single turbo.

hey man are you on pump or e85 with the 20 psi. i just went rolling at the quarter got 121 mph on 94 pump. trying to figure out if my car is slow or if you got some fueling.

Try running Nitto NT555r2 tires they might hookup better, and those Micky Thompsons need to be heated up with a burnout our 2 & then you’d hook
If I find a set I’ll give them a try. Yep the MT do like to get warmed up but during roll racing they don’t allow you to do a burn out. They hook better on the street than track somehow.

What did you end up torquing the head studs too? Did you use oem head gasket? And did you resurface the head?
90ftlbs, Oem bmw gasket, head and block were resurfaced.
Do you have any suggestions for a reliable car but is also fast and I can tune because I am planning to buy a new car soon

Hi, I wanted to ask you if you knew why my BMW 335i N54 automatic transmission with paddles on the steering wheel doesn't go beyond 270km/h and the engine map has already been made with speed release up to 300km/h and the gearbox map with downpipe
