I'm about to start my undergrad in BA psychology and your channel is making me feel less anxious about the journey ahead. I definitely want to take it one degree at a time keeping in mind that how well I do in the other impacts the next, but I really just want to focus on one year at a time
Congratulations on making it thus far !!! I'm a grade 11 student who'd love to study psychology and this is truly inspiring. ❤ May you please share on how to actually get admitted, as in the entry requirements and all, which universities are best to study psychology in South Africa and your own personal experience studying psychology.
Thank you so much Nthabi! 🤗 Unfortunately I won’t be able to do so, the entry requirements differ per university and can change over time, and I’m not a staff member so I don’t know what exactly they look for - I’m just a student myself. I have already made a video on my personal studying experience, it’s the “my honest honours psychology degree experience” video on my channel ✨ Good luck with the rest of high school 🥳
@@LaurenUnalomeWellnessCo That's completely understandable and thank you so much. Once again, congrats for making it thus far and I'll be sure to check out the video. 🤗
Hi Lauren 🌼 congrats on your acceptance 😃. I have a question. The universities that you applied to did the universities require proof of volunteering work you did ? Or do u just state you volunteered here and there ? Thanks
Hi Lauren. Did you use the same autobiography from last year or did you change things up. Seeing that your last year's autobiography got you an invite last year.
Hello Lauren. Thank you so much for this video, I am a few days away from my first selection week and your page has kept me sane. I just wanted to ask; you do mention in this video around 18: 44 that you have a document that explained broadly what counselling psychology is. Do you mind sharing that document if you still have it or sharing a link to the document?
Thank you so much for these tips they very helpful. If I may ask at the selection week how do they go about when they say you must write a proposal, do you write it in front of the panel ? Also when writing a proposal won't there be a need for references ?
Hi Lauren, this is very random but i used to watch your vidoes and I remember a while back you mentioned a New Zealand masters course you got into with a scholarship or something... would you mind replyng with a few details on it? I would also like to look into it. Thank you!!
why is there even a selection process though? good marks and volunteer experience is seemingly not enough to get into the master's programme ! and they select 7 to 10 applicants a year. I hope u can be able to answer me I would really like to know why they do this?
From what I’ve been told by previous lecturers, there is a selection process because the number of applicants far exceeds the number of supervisors that are available in each university. Every master’s psychology student needs close supervision and training, which is provided by a staff member within the university’s psychology department 🙌🏽
I still love watching these videos even though I'm a masters student😊💛
😂😂 Thank you for still taking your precious time to watch it 🥺🤍

Hi Rochelle, I kept most of the same information but changed a few things up 🙌🏽
