  • Sound source is Surge XT, a wavetable hybrid of duduk and saxophone. The scale, according to ianring.com/musictheory/scale... * , is the "Mirage Scale." It's an octatonic scale with a flat second, minor AND major third, augmented fourth, and a flat sixth. It sort of gives me the mood ambiguity of the 12-tone scale but still has some gaps and asymmetry for structure.
    * The name "Mirage Scale" was dubbed by HuugetZukker on the subreddit r/musictheory, in May 2019. / the_mirage_scale

The performance has a slightly Eastern flavor but there's a modern jazz element too. So intriguing! I really like the passage that begins at 2:48. Tha phrases you use really fit well into that scale.

Max, Wow! The sound is like an impossible clarinet/bassoon/duduk played by a Sufi Master. Tremendous.
