I have never used a torque wrench in my life, but I also have a very good feel and never have stripped anything or had anything come off. I will say your video is quite informative and great instructions for people that have never worked on their own bike.
Every bike ive ever owned, i just hand tightened oil filters and just judged the oil drain plug on tightness. Never used a torque wrench for that. Just good and snug...but i do like the fact you use one. Im like that on alot of other things. So my hats off to you for being thorough.
I was checking a lot of videos on youtube on how to change oil a 6r, thankfully I saw your video, you've explained it all well. Maybe just add a timestamp for references on your next how to videos. Thanks again for this & ride safe.

Good video, I have almost 38,000 miles on my 21 ZX6R, yes I ride a lot. I service my bike every 5000 miles, so a good thing to use on that oil filter drain is aluminum foil. Take about am 18" piece and fold it over about 3 times and then shape it kinda like a water slide. You can route it away from the bike to your oil pan. Saves a lot of unnecessary engine clean up. Also put paper towels or shop cloths in the opening between the engine and the front sprocket guard. It will catch any stray drips.
I never thought to use aluminum foil. That's an excellent discovery! Thank you so so much for your comment. I have another oil change coming up. I'm going to give it a shot! :-)
Im sorry but these are japanese bike no bolt or hex head is allen key or should be 11/16 its all metric its a 17mm and same on the oil filter. Your gonna strip the bolt one day
So the best thing to do is keep the bike on the stand / straight up. Let it run for a bit 2 min. Turn the bike off. Let it sit for about 2 min and look at the oil window. But NOT on the kick stand. If it is equal to or below the line, you are good. But if it is to much... you have 2 options. 1. Suck it out from the top... 2. Pull the drain plug for just a second and recheck the level. Repeat till u only let out enough.
Funny enough, I'm not entirely sure. I just took the old Crush Washer down to a local AutoZone and handed it to the tack and then he went and grabbed a new one for me.
I run the Pirelli Angel GT tires. I get about 6000-7000 miles out of a set and they do everything I could ask of them. I've never had an issue with slippage or instability regardless of the speed

It’s a 17mm socket. Use a cardboard ramp instead of paper towels for the filter.

Is 4qt to much I just did my oil change and it looks like I put too much oil?? I only put the 4qts am I good ?
