Oh and last tidbit, bit of inside lore, the reason why Billy's trailer shows him fighting Joe is that Joe is dating Billy's sister Lily. Billy is not fond of this fact.

Fun Fact about Yamazaki:
In one of the older games, a being called Orochi was possessing certain characters. Mainly Iori and Leona. He tried to possess Yamazaki but the dude was too bat shit insane to be taken over.
And that is one of the many reasons why Yamazaki is one of my faves in KoF

Yeah that's the story behind violent yamazaki 😂
Actually Yamazaki is a Hakkeshu like Goenitz, Mature and Vice, he have Orochi's blood in his veins, but unlike Leona and Iori, who also have Orochi's blood (although they are not Hakkeshu), he managed to somehow ignore the Orochi's call and are not affected by the Riot of blood, possibly because the guy is madness incarnated for the thug life he had.
Knowing he cannot be controlled, Yamazaki mocks of any Hakkeshu or anyone who serves Orochi (Goenitz, Chris, Yashiro, Shermie, Mature and Vice).
just like Shoryugame said "you cant mind control someone who has already lost there mind"
Also to explain at 14:35 Yamazaki's super requires you to mash buttons while the opponent is midair. The more times you hit the buttons, different, more powerful moves will come out afterwards.

Well first you have to do the input then mash heavy and light punch as much as you can
Vanessa is my favorite character just because I have a weakness for "punch girls" and a female secret agent boxer is pretty darn cool. That being said, I've always loved B. Jenet's super where she beats people with her shoe. She already has a ton of personality and character but that super just adds even more.

Rock Howard is Geese Howard's biological son. Remember how Terry's father (not biological) was murdered by Geese. Well let's say Terry adopted Rock to try to put his past behind him and showed Rock how to fight.
Yes Bethany, B. Jenet is a leader of a pirate crew named "The Lilien Knights". If I remember correctly this is her 3rd time appearing in a KOF game. Her first appearance was back in 1999, in Garou: Mark of the Wolves, where Rock and Gato made their appearance as well. Hence the name Team Garou.
It seems that Ryuji literally sticks his hand inside of you and kicks you off of it. I love Ryuji and Billy. And yes, nearly every fighting game character showcase they show either the super, or part of the super.
These family dynamics are always so complicated 😝
When B.Jenet takes her heel off the character model still has it as the camera tricks the player into thinking it’s off.
Or it’s to prevent people from staring at her bare foot when disabling the camera.

Someone may have already mentioned it but Rock Howard is Geese's son. Terry raised him which is why Rock carries the signature moves of both fighters.
It's a common in-joke to use Team "My Two Dads" by using Terry, Rock, and Geese.
In the original series Garou Densetsu (Legend of the Hungry Wolf) aka Fatal Fury, the entry known as Garou Mark of the Wolves introduced Rock as the new face of the series. Sadly it still hasn't recieved a sequel despite it being a fan favorite.
Using Geese's power actually causes Rock some physical discomfort and possibly pain, and he constantly works to subdue its harsh nature. This actually has a lot of significance since he studied under Terry. If you ever want to know why, or want a quick run-down of the Fatal Fury story, let me know. I can put it all in a comment or recommend some videos you can react to on the channel.

Another fun little fan theory is that geese is actually terrys real dad because terry was adopted by Jeff bogard, geese is my favorite kid character he is such a cool guy he loves traditional Japanese things but is still the crime boss of south town and always has his right hand man billy by his side. Another fun thing about gees sis he has been knocked off a building more than enough times in the canon timeline he got thrown off one time but in the non canon timeline it was twice the first time he got knocked off a supposedly died but he had the secret scrolls of immortality with him which allowed him to survive the fall but left him badly injured but then he always comes back regairdless of what you do to him because he is the crime boss of south town and one of the most famous bosses in fighting game history. Geese is the best also listen to his fatal fury special theme it’s the best one.
Interesting fact on rock Howard everytime he uses his dad's moves Neo rave and raging storm his hand aches with dark energy then he subdues it in his winning poses

4:29 I couldn't tell if you used "he" or "she", but Ash is actually male.
To answer some questions about Yamazaki, I believe the big coat is a typical thing for high-ranking Yakuza, but I could be wrong. When he stabs his hand in you, he injects you with some of his power/energy that acts like a poison, draining your health. And he's actually just punching you really fast in his Climax super, not slapping.

Fun fact about Ryuji Yamazaki.
He's so incredibly sociopathic and genuinely insane that a literal god of destruction that he should technically be serving has no sway over him.
He's actually one of Orochi's minions, but basically told the other three to _f_ off when they came to recruit him. He really doesn't care about anything but causing as much pain and chaos as possible.
Once again teams are pretty balanced, Yamazaki and Geese do absolutely heehaw damage and both have very strong counter games against characters without good mobility. it's kind of early to tell how final balance will shake out, but both Howards have been putting serious work in tourneys.

Yamazaki is apart of a monsters piece...he carries it darkness which he uses for bloodlust speed and redirecting energy or projecttiles
That's why he keeps his hand in his pocket the dark power as well as his ex yakuza boss saw that terrifying power but respected as such he subconsciously keep it in his pocket

The reason Kane is working for Geese is because he and his sister had a bad upbringing and got out but in order to survive Billy went to Geese. He has never told his sister about his job and is understandably protective of her.

Hey guys, if you're ever gonna do KOF again (maybe when more DLC is out for 15) maybe you'd consider watching the supers in KOF 13. Some of them are similar but there's some different ones and the game is 2D sprite-based, not 3D but it has some of the best and cleanest sprites ever. Maybe you could put it on the back-burner.

I may be remembering this wrong but I'm pretty sure in older games Yamazaki carries a knife in his pockets. They got rid of it at some point in time.

Fun fact: like other people said in the comments Iori (red head guy) has a connection with Orochi a God in the KOF Universe. If he does his super against any member of the Orochi team Yashiro, Shermie or Chris he does a different version that doesn’t change his eyes color and he also doesn’t have the second voice when he talks. Is implied that he is using the Orochi power during his super so am not sure what this means for Iori

He's the original boss from the first King of Fighters (KOF '94) and hasn't been around since KOF 2002.
We will have to add him next time new characters come out 😅

I think I'm realizing that kof and street fighter tend to go alot with their fan service when it comes to female characters than mk and tekken which I consider are the four Pilars of fighting games I mean I guess you could argue otherwise with mk9 with the clothing but they still had a good nuanceed personality packaged with them and it would more jarring to see them emphasize their sexual parts in some kind of special move even I know it probably happened if not in mk9 then in previous one but you get my point it feels like the others have moved on from that phase while kof and sf still haven't even sf6 looks different but we still don't know yet so I won't count that one
Yeah MK 9 were barely stripper outfits 😂 but they made the guys shirtless and super buff too 🤗
