Hey guys, well 2020 has been a rough ride for many of us. And lately i've been thinking about music i listened to many years ago. And then i found my old youtube account when i was a teenager. it's good to be back, and see all the lovely reactions to this music! Yours sincerely, Glenn Kooijman (gmc135)
Love this beautiful piece. Although too often overlooked, Ekseption were a truly GREAT band, and Rick Van Der Linder was one of the greatest keyboardists of all time.
Yesterday, I met Hans Alta in the eastern area of the Netherlands Regio Joppe! It was an exceptional unexpected meeting on behalf of Anna my daughters' Horse, It was in the middle of the fresh Air to souls in the concert of our essence about life. I s[ontaniously performed my Poem: Trees & Feathers and also asked if I might get Hams Alta's address. We had nothing to write down. But the moment made that he just spoke his address lines in the air and they were printed ever clearly into the air of my vision to send him my poem Libelle/Dragon Fly a poem cross over Europe and the world into the L I F E E T H E R ! Tonight I woke up to do a little internet research on that name the founder together with his brother Hans & Rob Alta. And I have chosen this number to reconnect as suddenly I remembered that I was listening to The Group Ekseption in my early youth. This is blessed and deserved gratitude through the ether of all our hearts and expectations. Thank you for being ..being out there all group members alive and those who are in memory so deeply missed & loved on our eternal Brillant side o our hearts!
@@mauricevanmourik1982 Sure, and he was truly great at the harpsichord too. Also, here is a note you might be interested in: in his recent autobiography, Claudio Simonetti (keyboardist of the well-known Italian Prog band Goblin of "Profondo Rosso" fame) has quoted Rick Van Der Linden as a very important stylistic influence on him in his youth.
I was about 10 when I discover this air, with the other 'hits' of this LP. It was the time where muscians experimented new instruments. It was the days of Wendy Carlos, Rhoda Scott, and even groups Procol Harum... Later, I discovered Jacques Loussier. I really love Bach since the day I was 10. Bach under all the faces.
All ok, the same I can say from me and my boyhood. EKS was my favourite group in the early 70's, most of their titles I played later on the organ and keyboards as well and attended 2 live concerts! Was really great, always live yet in my remembering. 😇❤
Thanks for posting this video. Yes, not only "culture rich" Europeans came to know Ekseption. Even in a remote place up north Montreal in Quebec Canada, people were listening to this Classical Rock music. In fact it was my first touch with Classical music when I was teenager. But I wonder why nobody had posted the Adagio from Albinoni on "Beggar Julia's time trip". All this leads me to order the 3 CD's set. This proves Viacom to be very stupid to suit RUclips over copyrights.
Its hard to cmpete with the genius of Bachs original. Ekseption has definitely done a great job. I remember them from the late seventies. So good RUclips exists as otherwise this would have been lost for me.
Fabulous!!! I was a tiny thing when this song was great but I knew it well. Grew up with classical music and Ekseption was the only exception allowed into the house as being "modern classical". So pleased I found it again!!

Wow, an air-version with percussion. I really love it! I have several versions of this famous piece of music, including my own with pipe-organ and I always wonder what the resilient music of Johann Sebastian Bach makes possible :-)
Just a note I hope can be interesting: in his recent autobiography, Claudio Simonetti (keyboardist of the well-known Italian Prog band Goblin of "Profondo Rosso" fame) has quoted Rick Van Der Linden as a very important stylistic influence on him in his youth.
I Was a fan of ekseption in the 70th and now on my older days I hear it sometimes, with pleasure again.
fantastic to hear that we can still listen to this group even after 50 years
My childhood, my brother get this album from our father in 1973. Absolutely wonderful!
I had the great pleasure to see them in concert 1972... r.i.p

The phantastic Ekseption I seen 1972 live in Hildesheim / Germany. Played "Air" as well. - Never forgotten!

A true gem. I love it, and Rick Van Der Linden's piano solo in it is one of the most beautiful and perfect ever conceived.
Don forget the wonderful piece of harpsichord of Rick.

This album made me like classic music and I still love spesial Air
Never tired of listening to this! Thank you!
Tears in my eyes......

ein Musikstück - so viele Gesichter!!! Was für eine Leistung der Band!!!!!!

I came here becouse a some music in the last series of Lucifer reminded me if this tune.
Lovely had die single.goed hoor
Wow, an air-version with percussion. I really love it! I have several versions of this famous piece of music, including my own with pipe-organ and I always wonder what the resilient music of Johann Sebastian Bach makes possible :-)
Bach made the very first test file and called it Toccata, and he used it to test the organs he build for reaction speed.
Geniously powerful and peaceful
I want this on my wedding, just like in the video clip
The magic of being awesome.
Got this LP-love it
I just had lunch with that^^ perfect!
wow so much feeling in this peace.....
The perfect music

I hope, Rick, you play now with J.S. Bach ... Peace & love
Thank you Ekseption and a special thanks to the GREAT GREAT GREAT Rick Van Der Linden ( RIP)..
Thank you - I enjoyed it
i really did take an exception to this group. they just took classical pieces and gave them modern feels, unlike ever heard before or since
Just a note I hope can be interesting: in his recent autobiography, Claudio Simonetti (keyboardist of the well-known Italian Prog band Goblin of "Profondo Rosso" fame) has quoted Rick Van Der Linden as a very important stylistic influence on him in his youth.
