    Box scrapers would take 2-3 times longer and not do as nice of a job. This is designed to turn the material and rake it out to get rid of pot holes and low spots. It pulverizes and flattens out the working area so there is less manual labor involved . It is mostly used for repairing lawns that have been neglected over the years and makes for a perfect seeding bed once finished, but is also becoming very popular for gravel driveway repairs. I have even seen some people use them for clearing brush and shrubs.

    I used a rototiller to control weeds but it goes to deep and makes a mess, I wonder if this would be a good tool to remove weeds without disturbing much dirt.

    That looks nice, but where I live a caterpillar D5 with rippers gets scared. Lots of flint rocks here.🤔

    What is the power rake used for? Is it just meant to break the surface up so you can go back and back drag or run a box blade to smooth out a road?

    • @Machi74005

      +schlaznger I wondered the same thing. This is like "rototilling" the driveway.

      You can use one of these for grading and landscaping jobs. The power rake can get rocks out of a seed bed before seeding, plus help in leveling out anything.

    It's supposed to be for grinding the top layer of topsoil so you can plant grass with no clumps... not a gravel driveway

      suppose you can use it how you see fit.. like the most misused tool is a screwdriver..

      The Land Pride and Harley products are very similar and yes, you can get it with hydraulic angle. If you are not local to our dealership, you can go to landpride.com and use their dealer locator to find one in your area.

    I tried it on rocks. Completely worthless. It is only a soil conditioner to break up clods and smooth the top soil, nothing else.

    That's not going to last very long in gravel. It's made for preparing seed beds in lawns and gardens.

  • @brenttauscheck8147

    Your set way to deep its only to finish off the very top. Also made for soil not gravel.

    • @angryadrien
      @angryadrien 3 года назад

      It helps get rid of potholes, bumps and uneven parts of the driveway.
      Some people fill potholes with loose material but this process loosens everything, allows the material to be leveled and improves drainage
