In Canada we had an Acura CSX, the front end and rear end is similar to FD2 Type R. If I were to buy a FA5 im not sure if I part out parts from that Acura to the conversion
Im not 100% sure, but i believe the parts are the same fitment wise

Hey bro not sure if your still active looks nice but I was wondering how the fitment on the FA5 bumper is I keep reading the every where that there’s a nasty gap between the light and bumper but yours looks fine. I ordered my trunk and taillights already was really not planning on a bumper

@@nathanthao7 Sorry I missed this! There is no gap between the bumper and the tail light, but the tail light sticks out from the bumper... about the thickness of a quarter, maybe a nickle? Not sure. It doesnt bother me much

The bulb is simply a 168 or 194 bulb type
This is awesome. I really want to get me a 06 - 11 type R sedan and convert it. It looks so nice, and very unique here in the states. How expensive was the whole procedure ? I really want to do this.
I was able to source out the trunk and lights from a relative that lives there. So i was able to get it at a good price. The authentic ones can get costly but deals do exist. There are reputable replicas out there.
Hey Bro, I also have a friend in japan. Is there like a place where i can source the bumpers and such? I been searching around but I can't find any.
My relative in japan is the middle man. I just let him know what im looking for and he lets me know if something pops up. I dont know exactly what source he goes through
Also trunk latch. Did the oem USDM Latch fit or did you have to make it a JDM one?
You talking about the latch thats on the trunk itself? I used the one that was on the trunk already so prolly a Jdm and it worked with my car
What did you do for the tail/brake lights? Isn’t it LED in USDM not for JDM?
I just used the original bulb. It fits
Do all your lights work when brake presses or only corners? I just did a conversion but only corners work when brake is pressed

I think youre talking about the long black one? No that works... just need to extend the reverse lights
What about the socket that’s next to the reverse light socket will I be able to use my honda socket for it?
That one is from the factory too. The only one that required modding was for the reverse
Would I be able to cut off the pig tails from my original trunk like would they fit the jdm trunk instead of getting the ones from eBay ?
To my knowledge there are none to use that you can recycle. Just get those sockets and call it a day

Can use the USDM bumper... the tail light will stick out a little though... maybe the thickness of a nickel. It doesn't bother me personally

If I lived in Japan, my first goal would be to convert my TypeR Sedan lights to USDM; they just look meaner and more aggressive.

No need to. The light wont line up exactly with the usdm bumper but it doesnt bother me

It came in a pack of 2 for the quantity of 1. Thats what happenes for me 👍

The reverse lights? I think i got them from superbrightleds.com but i switched them out for even brighter ones

Did you need to change trunk latch from USDM to JDM?
The trunk came with the JDM latch. It worked
