Yes has made some incredible music over the years. My friend forced me to listen to "Close to the Edge" in the mid 1970's and I never let go. I think Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman and Howe is my favorite album, but CTTE comes close. Then there's Talk, which has incredible audio. Drama has good moments too. Jon Anderson with Vangelis is also brilliant music, but there Jon really lived out his religious/spiritual side. I could mention "Short Stories" from 1979 i think it was. Music is life people ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Thanks for playing both parts Lee. On the CD there's no break inbetween. It's longer than I thought so it was over my limit so thanks for doing the extra part 2. The Keys to Ascention is a great album. It's a double album. Anyone who hasn't heard it yet should check it out. Lot's of live performances and a new one "That, That Is" which you did already. It's amazing they could sound like this live and I do like this better than the studio version.
I think Alan white deserves some props! He was a neighbor of mine and a beautiful soul, so unpretentious and humble. We shared many pints at our local pub and no one misses him more than Newcastle, wa.
That's what my mind gets from this music, it always starts to wander into a unknowingly past , some real spiritual thing, it transports me to a place where I see things in a clearer way , we have heaven guys !!.
They tapped in to something much higher and older here then they ever did before or after. This album is a spiritual masterpiece that the world wasn’t ready to hear. Only the chosen few! I’m glad I found them. This is what life is about!
Fab. I’m less familiar with this played live. So nice to join the chat today. Such a great bunch of people, and the moments we shared are pretty much what Jon wants to achieve. The true spirit of Yes and the divinity they channel were there. Jon and Chris harmonies - the sound of Yes. The bass on this is just brilliant. I’m listening now. Felt moved to comment
Thanks for reintroducing me to two of my favorite bands of the ‘70s and ‘80s when I was a teen. I appreciate them both now even more than I did then - digital plus amazing headphones and warm fuzzy memories likely helping there. The past two years or so have bern better because of it. Thank you!!
Fantastic Yes choice Lee! It is so amazing that they can pull this off live. I saw them in Oakland in 1975 and it was incredibly cool. Love it. This band is otherworldly. And since you brought it up Lee, @20:40, it is really tragic when they destroy ancient structures or cover up temple complexes, like what the WEF is doing to Gobekli Tepe in Turkey. it's criminal- they covered over an ancient site in Turkey and planted trees on top of the ruins, ostensibly to prevent us from learning about human origins. Gobekli Tepe is estimated to be 13,000 years old and had massive monolithic stone sculptures that we couldn't reproduce now, even with all our technology. And the WEF commandeered the archaeological dig there and is preventing any further research. Look it up man. Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now. Great reaction!
Personally, I really enjoyed your hotel days though you probably did not. Back then I thoroughly loved seeing your first discovery of some of my very favorite bands and music. Genesis, Yes, it's Genesis that brought me to your channel, been here since watcher of the skies and roundabout, and I dearly love those early reactions! Also when I submitted my first request, good memories! Let me just add, I am so happy for all you have accomplished in that year.😊❤🎉
Thanks John for this awesome selection! And thanks L33 for another off the charts incredible YESSATURDAY! 🎉 Great conspiracy shredding rant of truth today! I like where YES takes you! ☮️❤️🎶
I was blessed to see the real YES about a half a dozen times back in the 90s and 00s. I actually saw them for the first time in '92 when they were touring on the UNION album, so I got to see all of them. Steve Howe/Trevor Rabin, Alan White/Bill Bruford, Rick Wakeman/Tony Kaye, and of course Chris and Jon. And then I saw them again in '94 on the Talk tour. That was Rabin, White, Kaye, Jon and Chris. And then....I saw them in 2003. the 35th annv tour. Jon, Chris, Rick, Steve and Alan. They played this song too, was amazing bro. Not gonna lie, I was crying a little bit at times. Was just f*cking amazing, and they were soooo on that night. I could have died after the show a happy man. Blessed bro. YES has never been the same since 2004.
This is the ONLY Lineup that ever could sound like this! PURE PREFECTION! Can't believe through my tears that I was there for that tour. OOOF! Science is amazing considering the knowledge, ability, technology, & equipment used to research by those with a lot of experience & the training who have your same intense yearning to have the answers revealed to them. It's an ever-evolving field. There's a lot to trust in without knowing everything!
My first Yes show was the Tales tour. Before that the "best" band I'd ever heard live was J. Geils Band. No shade to J. Geils but they're a boogie blues band whose best player is the guy who plays harmonica. Then I see (and hear) these 5 guys get up there and sound like a band/orchestra/choir all rolled into one. And they were playing stuff that I'd never even dreamed of.
KTA is one of my favorite live albums. Sound production is top notch. I have 1 and 2 on CD. Yes lineup sounded amazing during this time. I had opportunity to see them live a few times and they never disappointed.
@@L33Reacts I realized immediately that what I said could be misconstrued. I meant to say there wasn't any cut in the song originally; there was something unusual with today's recording. Still great, though -:)
Oh yeah there was. It was split up into a part one and part two on RUclips by whoever uploaded it. And there was a whole part missing in the middle i guess. Very lame
My Favorite Yes Song-the whole album came from another planet !!!!!!!!! I saw them at the Spectrum in Philly. It was the Tales tour-Half of the audience walked out-so we moved up-Jethro Tall was also playing there.-my best concert experience ever L33
Shows how deep into Religion that John Anderson was taking the band. Most of the prior albums had hints of John's spiritualism this album solidified it. It has been said this Album caused Rick Wakemen to leave Yes. Not the album itself, but the insistence of John Anderson to perform the entire album each night on tour, which must have been pure hell.... Rick wanted to get more into Pop music for $$$$$
I was at this concert and this performance was pretty much a train wreck. What you hear here is probably 50% live and 50% studio doctoring to repair the mistakes. Surprisingly it was Jon who was mostly flailing that night, which really surprised me at the time. There was a definite lack of rehearsal time and it showed. But Lee, your diatribe at the end of the video is right in line with where Jon's head was at back then. Happy listening!
@@L33Reacts FYI: Jon released Keystudio on his site Jon Anderson Official yesterday. CD is terminally out of print. It comprises all the studio cuts from Keys 1 & 2.

So hard to pick a member from this group as the master player as each one is just a masterful as the other. 😎👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
They are so good together. Good alone, too. But together they are in another dimension
Used to listen to this up in the Santa Cruz Mountains when the fog would roll in. Fire in the fireplace. Mystical place. Nice memories. ❤😊
Love hanging out and listening to these long sonic sojourns with you Lee.

Thanks for a delicious musical moment! Pity that the beautiful "...and through the ryyyyyythem..." part was cut out.😢
YES-Saturdays are the world's best. Best band, ever. Period.
YES, the greatest show on earth
Cool.
I like this better than the studio. Recording technology, for public consumption, finally caught up to them.
You did Ritual live, I remember. Never my favorite Yes for many years, when I hear Tales now, I hear profoud wisdom

Say, WHAT??? Half the audience walked out? What, was there a fire? Explain this if you can please. Not comprehending.

La versión en estudio es fenomenal. Derroche de virtuosismo en Yes de los 70´s.

On Keys to Ascension this is not split into parts.
On RUclips it is sadly. 🥲

The only stuff I know cannot be wrong are the truths Jon Anderson sings about...
exactly !!!
There is literally no reason why this song is split in half on all these various postings on RUclips. It is 20 minutes long.
I’m not familiar with this era of Yes. After just now hearing the last songs from True, it doesn’t feel quite as exciting. It’s still very good.
The critics who think this is boring don’t know how to listen to music.
Skipped a whole section in the middle there! Unfortunate!
I know it wasn’t your fault, so I’m not blaming you Lee!
