This isn't a difficult song to play, but it is difficult to play it beautifully. I tend to muscle my way through this song. I'm terrible with phrasing.
Yes. Usually if pieces are easy technically, they are much more musically challenging. In some cases, having a good interpretation is more impressive IMO.
Best arrangement of this I've seen so far. It definitely sounds better on nylon strings. Looks like may below agree. I love this song on piano and thought it would translate well to guitar.
Very enigmatic and relaxing, beautiful. Have you used an existing partiture or you have made up by yourself? If any case, can it be found in any place? Thank you snd congratulations!
A very beautiful "softness" that you bring to this well-known piece. It conjures up an image of a solitary young female gymnast on uneven bars, alone in the studio with late afternoon sunlight streaming in through tall narrow windows. Almost slow motion movement.
Dear Adam, I noted in a lower post that you have not written down this particular arrangement. Could I possibly tempt you to do so? It is so beautiful and true to the spirit of the piece. It would be a very valuable addition to the existing body of guitar music, and, I am sure, much appreciated by guitarists. For your consideration.
Hi David, thanks so much for the kind words. This version is very similar to the arrangement by onlineguitaracademy.net. There's also a version in the same key by Christopher Parkening. I'd recommend checking them out. Thanks again!
Bravo ! I think this is the best version on RUclips. This is the version I want to learn. I've been looking for the tablature transcription on the internet but I can't find it anywhere. Can you help? EDIT : Problem solved. I took 3 tablature versions from the internet and cut and paste them together to obtain a version that looks a lot like yours. I'll be happy if I can learn to play it half as well as you. :-)
Hi Joe, this guitar is built by American Luthier, Tim Steis. I'm not sure what he calls it but I believe it's his top model... More info here www.steisguitar.com
I think you can find tabs somewhere, but if you have the interest, I highly recommend learning to sight read. There is so much you can pick up in the composer's intentions from the original score (timing, dynamics, etc) - you miss all that in tab notation. I learned to sight read about 2 years ago and I kick myself for not learning sooner. It takes effort and practice but you will find it very rewarding. Best of luck and happy playing!
popvinnik ..sorry I disagree...the timing is perfect ...it’s the pauses that make each note resonate!...with clarity !.... mr Satie would of loved it !
The best guitar transcription I've ever heard... very peacefull and mysterious....
thank you!
@@kossguitar Very beautifull !!! Thank you very much for your work.
P.S : sorry for my english, im french.
And keep on rockin in a free world!!!
I've never heard this played on guitar. One of the most beautiful pieces ever written, and you played it exquisitely.
Amazing. The first guitar version of this song I've found on RUclips that nails the slow tempo.
Was going to comment this. Absolutely beautiful rendition of this piece!
I cannot understate how good the flow on this is. Slow and haunting. Not fast.
Beautifully played. The tempo is just right to capture the wistful bitter sweetness of the piece. I think Sate would be delighted.
So soothing. Like the forest . Sea breeze in my hair. Smell of a newborn child. Watching leaves turn with autumn then winter blankets. Sigh...
for my taste this is the best rendition for guitar of this piece, it sounds like a dream
I'd like to say that for me... it's one of the most beautiful pieces ever written for a musical instrument
Nice rubato. Very personal. Thank you.
The is beyond perfection!! Soo chill and soothing, thank You for playing and for this amazing composition!!

Beautiful tone, beautiful music
The tone is remarkable, it almost sounds more like a piano than a guitar.
my left ear enjoy this
Beatiful hesitations.
Meravigliosa
Bravo. That is it.
This is how it’s done.
Sublime. Simply wonderful. 💯
My favorite so far!
Nicely done; has the right amount of hesitant, dusty melancholy.
What sensitivity !
Bravo Mister !!
I think this is the best I`ve heard it played. Also the Gnossienne. Lovely light and shade. You`ve made that your own !
divine
I always enjoy your magnificent playing...

I enjoyed your very poetic interpretation, great transcription!

Except if Adam was playing it on steel it would still likely sound better than most with his deeply felt interpretation.
So nice. Thank you!
Excelente!!!
Beautiful rendition!😘
Wow que buena interpretación.
Hope you can provide us a copy of your arrangement. Probably the best on yt cheers
Muy bien

The tempo (not sure if this is the right term) is great. Other versions were too fast. Thanks for sharing.
Any tabs for this?
Beautiful!
thanks!
Great!!! Can you give to us the sheet music?
I could point you to something that is very close (not the Parkening arrangement).

Dear Adam, many thanks for your response. I’ve purchased the arrangement at onlineguitaracademy, and I absolutely adore it.
Amazing, calms me down. you are under-rated. Is this in standard?

Sounds great but the fade in and outs make it look like it wasn't played in one take
YOU ARE GOD
Adam Riga lol Thanks!
yes indeedy
I like the softness. Very pretty. However, a tad slow and your slight overuse of pausing somewhat interfered with the rhythmic flow IMO.

Agree
