What an awesome attitude to have, his passion and wanting to pass his knowledge onto as many enthusiasts/ builders of aircraft. If only we had more human beings like this in the world, gives me hope .
A big HELLO and CONGRATULATIONS from Thunder Bay Ontario Canada🇨🇦 Absolutely LOVED following this build. Love all your videos. Educational, Inspirational and Entertaining. Your new plane is a "work of art". WOW just beautiful. Looking forward to future adventures / videos with this new plane. ENJOY 👍👍👍
Quick comment on Slats versus Flaps (including Flaperons) : Slats primarily increase the wing's critical angle of attack (AoA) by facilitating re-energizing of the boundary layer at high AoA thus delaying separation and hence effectively allowing for a lowering of the stall speed. Flaps, on the other hand, increase the coefficient of Lift for all angles of incidence (angle between the freestream airflow and the chord of the wing's aerofoil). A 'takeaway' thus is that Flaps deployed will allow for a lower angle of incidence for a given coefficient of Lift for an aerofoil or put another way, Flaps deployed facilitate a lower AoA for the wing (angle between the wing's aerofoil's chord and the relative wind), given a desired descent rate during final approach and thus provides for a better 'sight picture'. It might therefore be advantageous to design for low speed taking into account the flap design first and then include slats to provide that extra performance capability; as AoA increases with a decrease in the relative wind's speed. Very informative video. Appreciate you making it available for all to view. Congratulations on your well deserved achievement.
nice looking neat job well done looking forward to your flight films, Gavin Suffolk England next to Ellough Aerodrome, Virage Heliport, Enjoy Sir, Stay Safe
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I’ve never been SO proud of a person I’ve never met as I was watching this video. I WILL be building a Kitfox in the near future. Last August I drove cross country from NJ to Utah to visit the man who got me started flying. We were planning a hop over to the KF factory so I could meet the guys and formulate a plan, but due to covid, they weren’t accepting visitors. While driving cross country, I watched (LISTENED!) to almost 25 of your videos straight. Gave me a good idea what I’m getting myself into. I’m so happy for you, and ONE day in the near future, I’ll be up there with you.
Great Job! You done well. Now more fun begins...... Thanks for all the extra time you took on this build to share your knowledge for other builders and the way more better viewing than is on any cable channel for us old wore out folks.
Been here long before you started the project. It may sound a little corny, but I feel like I was a tiny part of the build. You seem to be a great guy and it is a pleasure knowing you. Congratulations on completing this phase of the project. I look forward to future episodes and can't wait to see you back in the air. Kick ass on the next stol drag. I'll be cheering you on! Hope to meet you in the near future - Jeff
Looks like a well thought out KitFox you have there!!! Can’t wait to see the smile that will take you years to pry off!!!! Your living the dream I wish I was in!!! Congrats!!! 👍👍😎😎
Congrats Mr..... I feel fortunate to have stumbled on to the first few videos of you & your dad going to get the kit, because it's inspired me to do the projects I've put off for fear of never be able to do them... Is appreciated, you are appreciated, & am grateful your family has allowed such a time consuming project... Thank you to the misses... Now let's go flying.... Yeah !!! 👍👍
Great going over lessons learned. Agree Getting a second set of eyes on your work is not showing weakness but an effort of producing the best product and help eliminate human error.
Congratulations ! Fantastic build journey and excellent and well deserved outcome. She is an absolute beauty of an aircraft. Well done. Thank you for sharing and for putting all of the effort into documenting in such detail. Enjoy flying her.
Great point of pilot weight and the effect on power to weight aspect, Always found it funny guys riding dirt bikes talking about titanium nuts and bolts to save a few ozs when most of them were 10-20lbs or more over weight. I will generally pack on 10lbs over winter but am close to being back to my ready to ride weight of 145-147lbs. Granted 10 or 20 lbs difference on a 200lb bike is not going to be the same as that same weight added to a 800lb plane but weight is weight.
Congrats! We all know what a long and challenging project this was...then add on the extra months of time to document this on RUclips!!! It’s an award winning build!
Congratulations Bryan! It has been amazing to watch this journey as someone who has the dream to do the same someday. Something to be so proud of! Heck, I'm proud of you! That plane is beautiful and I can't wait to see it in the air!
Great job. Looks great. You probably know this but I put zip ties on all monster shocks as a reference of landing. Pressure in the shocks are a little difficult to know where to adjust according to the weight of your plane. A kind of guessing game. Also Alaska airframes I believe have lift struts made of aluminum for there cubs. Would be a great weight saving if they could be modified to work on the fox. Some thing to think about. One of the things you could video is the whole procedure of the 40 hr fly off time. I do not think anyone has ever tested their plane and recorded it. I have done it twice. Kind of a pain but needed. Anyway I am at the 90% done on my RV 14a and 90% to go. Great videos. Tom up state NY
Great videos Bryan...I've watched them all. Very happy for you! I've been flying my RV-8 for 8+ years and can attest to how satisfying building your own airplane is. Still flying the RV and my SS7 Super Sport kit should arrive in the next couple weeks. I'll definitely be taking some of your tips and tricks into account with my new project.
Bryan "GREAT JOB" on the build very exciting to watch each and every episode. I don’t have a pilot’s license, but have had the opportunity to fly in a lot of private planes over the years. Thank you for taking us along with you.
Man, that looks awesome Bryan. It's been great following the build. Your inspector is worth his weight in gold. Passing on that wealth of information to others so that they can teach others yet again resonates with me as I do that in my life.
Congratulations Bryon! Have you thought about doing a video about all the costs involved now that you have finished? Maybe what you you would have done different knowing what you know now? Thanks, Brad Denver, CO
watched every post...cld never afford to do what you have but I can stretch to the Legal Eagle ..3 cyl Suzuki engine going on her...this build has been an inspiration ..congrats on completion
Thank you so much for taking us on this amazing journey, I have enjoyed every minute of it. Much love and respect from a fellow Kitfox owner in Canada.
What a journey this has been! Great job on this build! You have every right to be very proud of the results of this project! Congrats! Can't wait for the test and flight videos!
Congratulations Bryan! You must be very proud of your accomplishments building the Kitfox. It’s been a lot of fun following along and I’m looking forward to the next steps. 👍🏽👍🏽
Congratulations on the getting the airworthy certificate. Thanks for sharing the inspection and paperwork process as it is often overlooked. Looking forward to the flight test phase!
Congratulations! Long road to get to this point but the result is awesome. You inform , educate and inspire those of us also building their own dream so thank you for that. Looking forward to seeing it fly. Cheers!
Congratulations pal. I've enjoyed following your build series, and have always been impressed with your attention to detail. Looking forward to flight testing.
Wow stick a beard on your eldest and he would be the spitting image of you just on facial expression alone. Fantastic work, glad to see it complete, I look forward to seeing it in the air.
Brian, the one thing that concerns me is the Exhaust end, very close to the floor and door of the plane. I would want to install a turned down Tip 45 Deg to get the exhaust away from the Plane.
What an awesome attitude to have, his passion and wanting to pass his knowledge onto as many enthusiasts/ builders of aircraft. If only we had more human beings like this in the world, gives me hope .
What a journey this has been. Thanks for taking us along Bry, can't wait to see it in the air!

Beautiful Kitfox!!

Congradualations !! Pilgrim!!

Congratulations Bryan!!
Could you please comment on the reason of registaring the airplane under a LLC.
Brian, the one thing that concerns me is the Exhaust end, very close to the floor and door of the plane. I would want to install a turned down Tip 45 Deg to get the exhaust away from the Plane.
Nice job can’t wait to see it flying
This has been a great series on your build ! Can’t wait to see it in the air.
Congrats!
Congrats Bryan!
