WTF.. only after I register (providing my private info) am I told only avail to UK residents.
Hmm you have to download the app
Yes!!! 🇬🇧
no, to big to maintain
Yes yes yesssss
All you need is some watchmen with bows and arrows and you're on your way to a fully fledged kingdom. This is amazing I want one
Don't forget the moat 😆
@@jellycake2109 Lol yes the moat I forgot.
You'll probably need, not time, money and vision, but white privilege, lol
@@kevindurand7230 my white priveledge has never worked I've been poor all my life lol
@@michaeldwayno3695 apparently according to Barnardo's charity even poor working class white children have more privilege, it's on their website, search Barnardo's white privilege.
It's racist, I am in utter shock at the double standards and now blatant attack on anything white everywhere in society.
It sure would be nice if they got permission for an earth sheltered home extension - that would not ruin the landscape, if done correctly, and would give them a lot more space.
This is in Buckinghamshire about 5 miles from Aylesbury ,heading out towards Thame .
Really surprised that it's been restored ,it was falling to bits ,was full of empty cans ,bottles syringes ,foil .
It was literally split into two ,it must have cost an absolute fortune to restore .
This is between Aylesbury and stone, looks fantastic irl. Great job.
@@omni7808 thought it was other side of stone from Aylesbury
Funny thing I drive past this alot
I used to live in Aylesbury and I often visited this place as a ruin many years ago
@@brianortega2776 yeh it’s the other side of stone going from Aylesbury to thame
What an amazingly positive and couragous man. Thanks to his relatives in allowing him to finish this great restoration.
Yes and his wife was right behind him all the way. Thats the kind of a partner in life a man needs!
What a lovely home they've created....we need more people like these to restore our old derelict castles....castles are our history
I just watched a short on YT.
The host of the short walked up to a man and asked how much rent he paid each month.
The man said that he didn't pay rent as he owns his home, which he paid 0ne million pounds for.
The short was a tour of this very castle !!
I didn't know about this channel before I read in the comment section of the short that said in multiple comments that this tiny castle was on this channel, so here I am !!
And now I have subscribed !!
Thank you for this beautiful video of this tiny castle !🥰💖🥰
Well done to them for being brave enough with what looked like an absolute nightmare.
I drive past this place all the time. It is beautifully done.
Lucky you! I've always wanted to visit England. Beautiful place and beautiful people.
@@Nofiltervanilla It really isn't that beautiful at all lol .. expensive houses which are always so small even after massive extensions. Every city is the same shit but slightly larger and more rammed. America is the place to be ... I would love to move there. So much to do with so many different cities
@@Nofiltervanilla Really does depend on where U go. Stay out of the cities & yes....there R some beautiful sights.
@@AK-ql8yp wow that's so interesting,i live in Canada (montreal) and everyone abroad always says its so pretty but i find it just bleh, its true i suppose what's foreign is also exotic lol. Ive always always wanted to visit the Cotswold, LOL THOSE SHEEP ARE SO CUTE hahah
@@AK-ql8yp the states is incredible, ive been to Arizona and houses are massive for a fraction of what they cost here, the only issue is the lack of free healthcare and somtimes wages depending on the work. Where would u like to go in America?
Took some photographs of this place not long before it was rebuild. It was dark and snowing and suddenly felt like I was being watched from behind broken walls inside, so I left! (Too many episodes of Hammer House of Horrors as a young lad methinks) lol
It's amazing what a lovely place for their children to grow up and praise to them for for filling their dream home and their passion for this old building
Wow. I'm envious of this family. I hope to live in a mini-castle too one day.
they are selling the castle ruclips.net/video/F0cBtWT8Cfs/видео.html
Nah too much cleaning
Wow wow. Why do you want to live in a castle.
And what are you doing about that hope?
Fantastic job!
In all fairness, as long as they used identical materials and style, I can't see any logical reason for them not being allowed to extend it - *if* they wished to do so, that is. Their workmanship is after all a set precedent.
I GO PAST THIS EVEN WHEN I WAS A KID TOO LIKE SHE DID 😳😳 and Jesus it now looks absolutely gorgeous now 😍
I warltched this one on the show, grand designs and they done a wonderful job restoring this old castle simply beautiful.
I live near this and it is a lovely landmark. There’s only one problem which is surely why they were unable to sell it...it’s very close to a busy road (the A418 from Aylesbury to Thame). Horrifically noisy. They cleverly omitted that detail on Grand Designs and pointed the camera across the lovely open fields to the North.
A sensible comment at last.
Love how they don’t show the loud main road right next to it
The programme is about the build, not the road or the immediate area.
Your comment comes across as snide and bitchey, kinda ‘oh I’d not live _that_ near to a busy road’ well, congratulations on having somewhere nicer than this yourself, this is a gorgeous hone, I’m sure yours is even better. I look forward to channel 4 making a programme about your 3 bed ex council house In Dagenham. Now get over yourself love, try to be nicer to people Grace instead of trying to be superior.
Its simply brilliant, kudos!! 💘
...follies are wonderful & magical, only wish there were more of them, great work! 👌
I passed this just yesterday , well done to those involved . Its simply stunning . 👌
I pass this place daily, their achievement is incredible.
Well done, a small part of our history now saved for future generations, and a lovely home.
They've done a lovely job
I love what they did here, it’s truely a unique and magical home.
I was waiting too see the living room
Glad I got 2 seconds of it haha
The dreams come in true!!! so beautiful!!
What a lovely little home.
OHHH it was on grand designs!!!???? OF COURSE it was! what an amazing show.
Great job guys. 👍🏻👍🏻
All I can really say is " WOW "
Im Nepali living in Abu dhabi when i wsaw this in youtube than i went to google map vert hardly i found it. it's really nice and at nice location too.
Nice! Well done for finding it! Peace and well wishes from the U.K.
I love the castles meant for giants and how there is extra floors to the castle buried beneath the earth from the last mud flood reset. Just amazing. Our smaller sized people definitely didn't build these with the tech we had with our horses and buggies 🤣🤣🤣
My childhood dream,to live in a castle.
So your a supercilious prick aswel 😱
That looks fabulous 💖💖💖
Absolutely stunning 😍 x
For sale £850,000 in January 2019
I drive past this every day on the way to school and I've always envied them😌✨
Do you drive a tractor.
@@nalatreborrenoclaf9648 it’s about 20 meters from a very busy main road
I love your miniature castle ❤️
The perfect home imo. Love it.
Absolutely stunning result.. 😍
Thats really well done
Who says money can't make you happy amazing job
I drive past this place every day
Beautiful!
This is just amazing x
Does anyone know how one would go about getting the original plans to this building?
Gorgeous! Wonder if I can get a planning permission to build one new :-)
Why make a loser comment. You clearly do not have the fund's.
@@nalatreborrenoclaf9648 My planning permission is for a passive house looking like a Greek temple. Enjoy your misery!
@@zapfanzapfan good luck 👌
@2:10 They swap that out for a sex swing when the cameras leave
Good idea c:
Perfect home
This is on the road between my house and school
I live near this and drive past it a lot
Beautiful..my dream home this 🙏🏻
Right on the main road!
I would feel like rapunzel lol 😂
Gorgeous
It's stunning
Just amazing
Drive past this regularly. Watched it from the road transform into what it is now. Good on them for doing it, but understand it's not ideal for a young family. It'll suit someone though.
Yeh it'll suit catweasle😂
It did !!
A lovely bachelor bought it for 1 million pounds !!
So beautiful !!
So magical !!
What dreams are made of !!
He has 2 swings in one oak tree:
One swing looks out over the beautiful landscape while the other faces the wonderous castle.
So beautiful and serene 🥰
Lovely place, I love it. You could be Romeo and Juliet 😊
10/10 beautiful
I saw this episode the husband and architect seemed like they were into each other 😂
in this episode the husband IS the architect of the project
Oooh mayytronn
I love this one it’s incredible!

Thats amazing how did they get power and running water and drainage
The same way catweasle did
Kevin McCloud of the Clan McCloud lost his head
That is spectacular
It looks cute
loved the transformation, so love to own it, but as a parent seeing those little ones put me off .
lovely
I live in Aylesbury just a few miles from where that is
Congratulations for living in a shit hole
A lot of hard work pays off . As if he waited 1 year just for planning permission 🤦♂️😂

That is awsome
That castle should be for royal family 👪 🦋so they will see how it feels when people can't afford to buy flats anymore and need to live in tiny spaces or rent privately very expensive places or live with family 👪
I got the impression the interviewer was a bit snobby about it.. Just condescending about the fencing and the fact that it was a bit rough. He obviously doesn’t realise it was meant to be like that, it looks fantastic like that, so he needs to go back to his suburban semi and keep quiet
Kevin's always condescending about people's builds if you watch other episodes
That's nice
The handrail looked a bit ropey.
I will buy it but remove the staircase entrance. Dinton Folly Castle, Oxford Road, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
A big raspberry to you
The stone must transmit the cold in the winter and develop condensation in the summer.
Than you Einstein
Great except for full living room!
How odd that they say they are rough and ready 🤣more like silver spoon.
I want this house 😭
I'm still recovering from the posh bloke and his house in a graveyard
Banglish123 I almost bought a house in a graveyard someone else got it and it's now done up beautifully. Living in a graveyard wouldn't bother me, the neighbors are quiet 🤫☠️
Would love a house in a graveyard lol
Gorgeous but I'd have bad anxiety with the children incase they climbed up on that wall 🙄
They have sold it now it was on the market for ages I think it was a hard sell
💞💞💞💞💞
pretty pretty
