Fuck yeah Medicham. I ended up having one in Sapphire that I caught in Victory Road that I used to beat all of the contests using its original moves. It's always been one of my favorites.
Haydun!! I played against you yesterday on a wifi battle!! I got bodied by you I’m so glad you didn’t post it 😂 I was too excited to focus, thank you for the game! Hope to battle you again.
How do y'all find battles these days. I've been playing the regulation but three mons is so boring when they're always flutter, string cheese and blood moon lol
Hey Haydunn. Awesome video and longtime fan. When the Hippo was in, it was locked into Roar from the Encore, so it couldn't switch to Earthquake. So you were safe no matter what.
One thing on the commentary, the encore lasts 2 to 3 turns- he probably wanted to eq your muk but he couldn't! knock off was totally safe and you made the right play :D
"It's baby 206 Atk stat becomes 412" That's not fully trained. Without a +Atk Nature, you can get to 219 or 438 after Pure Power (This is the exact same Atk stat as a +Atk Rayquaza or +Atk Groudon) With a +Atk Nature, you can get to 240 or 480 after Pure Power (This is higher than +Atk Rampardos, and 2 points below +Atk Kyurem-Black)
Which speaking of IV slider, whenever I go to the abilities or attacks screen, by the time I get to the slider, it’s Attack IVs are automatically set to 0. Does that every time in Showdown.
Bro I remember watching your channel back in like 2016, so glad you popped up on my new account as a recommendation so I can start watching again. Love it’s still the same intro song as well, so nostalgic
Medicham is one of my all time favorites. It was on my very first Elite 4 + Champion win when I first played Pokemon Sapphire as a kid. I've been saying forever that it's extremely underrated. Power Trick is also a fun move to turn it into a defensive powerhouse. Not many stall applications, but it was always fun working with it against my friends who don't play competitively
This is my first time finding your channel & im binge watching while i should be sleeping, and im really happy i found this channel seeing a lot of my favorite pokemon i use across the games that i think are underrated asf. I watch a lot of competitive pokemon content and these vids are inspiring me to actually try wifi battles sometime and stop being nervous about it lol (plus i have a plethora of ev trained shinies bc i love shiny hunting and using them in raids xD)
Fun fact a misconception is abilities like pure power dont double the base stat it doubles the actual stat and same thing with evolite where it gives a 1.5x boost to the actual stat
I once used a Pure Power Medicham and Skill Swapped it onto a AV Slaking, then switched out Medicham (which resets Skill Swap) for a Heal Support Pokémon or an Intimidate one.
When I saw him switch into Alolan executor and looked at the name, I didn't get a good look at the mon at first because of the poke ball animation and red the name Facepaint instead of Faceplant and no lie went to thinking "When did he add Mamoswine too the team!" 😂❤️😭
Can someone explain... Why is he able to use another move when he initially used Close Combat? I thought the choice items allow the use of only ONE move.
I feel like Gamefreak needs to check their % stats. Or maybe we need to make a catalogue of success vs failures of different moves. Because sometimes it seems like moves that are supposed to be 90/10 or 70/30 or even 95/5 are instead set to 50/50. I hope that isn't true, but the results feel very suspect and I think a statistical study needs to be done where we keep track of how many hits out of 100 we land on these mons that are supposed to be fairly accurate.
Probably my favorite psychic type. When I played Ruby for the first time, I caught two of these mfers in the Victory Road, and they helped me get the W against Steven.
In doubles, I have medicham use Skill Swap on Golurk so the Golurk now has Pure Power. The Medicham receives No Guard from Golurk and knows High Jump Kick.
Medicham with choice scraf and skill swap Then use it on a regigigas to swap slow start Congratulations, you now have a monster with crazy atack (over 900 if i remeber right), is your choise if you want to use a buffing move after
Haydunn, your medicham had ice punch, was stab close combat had more damage than ice punch at that moment? Or medicham special wasn't high enough to guarantee the down?
Ice Punch uses Atk, not Sp.Atk Before Diamond&Pearl (Gen 4) all Ice type moves were Special. Starting in Diamond&Pearl, Ice Punch, Ice Fang, Ice Shard, Icicle Spear, Ice Ball, and Avalanche all became Physical/use the atk and not Sp.Atk All types of moves did this.
Ice Punch would have been more damage. Close Combat = 120 × 1.5(STAB) × 0.5(Flying vs Fighting) = 90 Power Ice Punch = 75 × 4(Ice vs Flying+Dragon) = 300 Power Both use Atk and not Sp.Atk
Abilities like Pure Power are weird. If they just gave it the high stat outright, they could give them a more interesting ability. Thats the point/tradeoff, I know, but it’s an interesting choice.
Hey Hayden, are you only looking for battles when you're on discord and in your find battles channel? Or can we just poke and ask if we spot you online? You always seem to ask at like 3am my time ;(
So weird to see medicham being ZU given how reliable this guy really is. Though this is based on useage so maybe more people need to be using medicham!
Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill + STAB Priority [Aqua Jet] (Azumarill's Base 50 means Huge Power Azu only hits as hard as +Atk Groudon or Rayquaza, whereas Pure Power Medicham hits as hard as +Atk Kyurem-Black) Medicham gets Bullet Punch, and Vacuum Wave. Vacuum Wave is STAB Priority, but coming off of the Sp.Atk stat
Love the Pokemon spotlight videos as of late, but can you potentially switch it up every now and then? I wanna see a close battle in which you lose (I'm aware of the spl videos). I enjoy your loses more than your wins, because I wanna see how someone played in order to beat the great Haydunn. Anyways keep up the great work.
Level 100 Medicham actually reaches a total of 480 after huge power, had a mistake in the intro!
Can you run a doubles set with special medicham w skill swap and slaking
I can't wait to see Mega Nippleknee again in Legends ZA.
Fuck yeah Medicham. I ended up having one in Sapphire that I caught in Victory Road that I used to beat all of the contests using its original moves. It's always been one of my favorites.
Did you also comment this on a Pokeaim video recently?
Got some serious deja vu here

Did he use the medicham team?
Yeah he did lol
He didn’t post it… yet. lol

The Muk Poisoning Hippowdown's lunch made my morning.
1:30 “less screens and my offenses might be able to touch stuff”
Yes officer this RUclipsr right here. 😂
Ngl the Medicham on the second battle dying to a Thunder Punch after all the badass moments plus the Tera was hilarious to me lmao
Fun fact : Medicham with skill swap is better wheezing for regigigas
Fun Fact: Pure Power & Huge Power abilities do the same thing...
Yeah, what's up with that?
@@rafaelsoto4742 medicham wanted to feel special
Both of Delibird's abilities do the same thing too.
Main difference is pure power boosts the moves while huge power boots the attack stat itself
@@rafaelsoto4742 Huge Power is actually a rabbit pun in Japanese, hence why it's only on rabbit mons.
I feel like there was a missed opportunity to name medicham Knee-pples. No? I’ll see myself out
AA-j was an unexpected but appreciated throwback

There is a lot of recent content, start binging
15:00 They didn't predict anything, They were encored 😂
lmao i was looking for this comment
I think it was more that they chose to stay in and roar rather than hard switch (whilst encored)

HAYDUNN I LOVE YOU EVERY EXTRA BATTLE YOU GIVE US MY HEART ONLY GROWS
14:50 muk was never in danger the hippo was still encored so it was a guaranteed roar or switch no reads needed really just a free knock off
I mainly use medicham to use the move skill swap with Regigigas, acupuncture helps too, this only works in doubles though
you could have gone for another meteor beam against the slowking

I would totally still watch if you do additional videos on mon you previously covered! Just keep on battling!
When they trade stealth rocks :
We just go ahead and compare sizes 😂
new haydun vid, finally something interesting to watch while on my porcelain throne.
0:56 "Medicham has always been that dude"
Looks at current medicham is a female.
*I'm getting alot of contradictory information here.*
Seeing you used shiny Medicham makes this video much better. Blue shinies are underrated 💙
Your comedic commentary is funny. "Get this guy a cheese burger 🍔 " 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Focus stash Medicham w/ trick room & Drain Punch is my go to
Let's just not talk about the things Medicham did in Go Battle League tho...
Medicam flashed Dragonite that heart and the goof was so shocked they punched em.
Fun fact a misconception is abilities like pure power dont double the base stat it doubles the actual stat and same thing with evolite where it gives a 1.5x boost to the actual stat
Medicham isn’t my favorite but seeing it be used like this for some reason.. brings me joy
I can't wait to have megamedicham back, he was my little guy.
I once used a Pure Power Medicham and Skill Swapped it onto a AV Slaking, then switched out Medicham (which resets Skill Swap) for a Heal Support Pokémon or an Intimidate one.
Been watching since the pokemon battle revolution masquerain and plusle and minun team you had. Content is still as good quality as it was then ❤
5:17 my thoughts exactly, solid mon for a video tho
“bloody knee boobs” killed me
Why would they send out Corviknight against Coalossal in that first battle?
Always a good time when a haydunn video drops 🔥
always the sneaky funny nicknames that's why I've subbed so long.
Why do you run heatwave over roost or defog on zapdos?
Specific counter to things like skarmory?
When I saw him switch into Alolan executor and looked at the name, I didn't get a good look at the mon at first because of the poke ball animation and red the name Facepaint instead of Faceplant and no lie went to thinking "When did he add Mamoswine too the team!" 😂❤️😭
The reason muk went first was because dark types are immune to prankster’d priority
Great video! Are you the one who had the Medicham named Titleg or was that someone else? I forget if this is a homage or just a new name.
you are indeed a pretty consistent fella

I felt horrible for that Hippowdon
and in natdex doubles you can skill swap pure power to regigigas then mega to gain It back
Coalossal was amazing here, tera was really a boost for this guy.
Can you make a Gumshoo video
I been trying to make this mon work but im having trouble. I wanna see what strategy you’d use.
The guys were fuckin up that hippo
Bread getting a show was funny.
Always love seeing ol nippleknee getting some usage lol. Also I thought Tera fire Ogerpon was banned? Unless they changed it back
I have a team with medicham, with skill swap. I use dragon dance with Gyarados or haxarous and they wreck everything in sight. It’s beautiful
The 10% chance to miss has hoed me again man that hit in the feels 😢
It can skill swap with allies in doubles for some crazy combinations
It works out the best way with Slaking or Regigigas
Wouldn’t it have been better to use scald and save his power herb for later or would scald have been a roll ?
Damn first time watching and you drop a hoodie beat in your intro 😭😭😭 ima like your channel
Medicham with choice scraf and skill swap
Then use it on a regigigas to swap slow start

Medicham is op in game play with pure power punching glove, element punch moves+ drain punch. Or swap punching glove for assault vest
Always Nice to see your vids brother! Keep it up!
As much as i love wifi battles, i would love to see one more rom hack/ fan game before Nintendo decides to crack down on those as well😂

Medicham has been my 2nd favorite only behind the OG Squirtle!!!
Misses 90% accurate move, fails to get the 30% chance to burn, and dies to a critical hit 😂 wow

Ok, so choice scarf Medicham is pretty common, but what about Choice BAND Medicham. (Tailwind/ Web support prob required)
what about special medicham with life orb oooooooooo
Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill + STAB Priority [Aqua Jet]
(Azumarill's Base 50 means Huge Power Azu only hits as hard as +Atk Groudon or Rayquaza, whereas Pure Power Medicham hits as hard as +Atk Kyurem-Black)
Medicham gets Bullet Punch, and Vacuum Wave. Vacuum Wave is STAB Priority, but coming off of the Sp.Atk stat
It also gets access to Psych Up which can make for some really silly plays. Imagine calling and copying a bellydrum.
I always use mega medicham. That thing is crazy
