No matter how she twists this, it was her son with the gun, her son making racist comments, her son threatening to “do it”, and it was her sons actions that resulted in this. I couldn’t imagine her pain but it does not supersede the truth. Why is she doing this, to what end? What’s the point? It’s not going to bring her son back, it’s not going to be the next cnn story, and I’m thinking it has to do with her wanting money. She’s reaching for anything she can “get” the cops on rather than accepting the truth.

How does making statements that use pejoratives matter? Are you telling me that the use of pejoratives is now a factor to be considered before escalating to physical violence? What's wrong with you mental defectives? Words are words period, even if they hurt your feelings. Boo hoo.

All I hear are the police trying to help him.

I don’t see any apologies for the police doing their jobs and being accused of shooting Mr. Grisham. I pray for Mr. Grishams soul that he goes to heaven despite him taking his own life. I pray for his Mother trying to understand all this. A mother never wants to bury her child.

This was a giant failure in police leadership.
    1. Dog should've been deployed.
    2. Less lethal should've been deployed.
    3. Asking the FIRE chief what to do.
    4. Failure to even cordon off the scene.
    5. Lack of training for the negotiator. The training at the time was the standard. Not what the standard is now.
    6. Multiple agencies on scene with lack of proper communication with said agencies.
    7. Lack of control over his own officers. He told officers to clear out, they didn't.
    8. He didn't order his teams in when he put down the gun.
All of this shows an on scene commander that lacks the leadership in a dangerous situation.
